Comfortable, modern, spacious, calm, pleasant architecture, friendly, nice pool, amenities as what it should be, close to supermarket and especially a great view of the sea and island in front.

A good choice - given the other (very) limited options. The room was very large and spacious, with good aircon and a balcony. Breakfast was also good (most of the breakfasts we had in the Azores were very limited on choice - this one actually had good choices and good coffee). One thing to note is in Madalena is the lack of bars and limited restaurants. There are some good eating places nearby, but you must book in advance. The hotel does have a restaurant which offers quite pricey seafood and steaks. We had to eat here the first night as arrived at 22:00 by ferry. You can just drink at the restaurant however once the place empties they don't serve that late. One evening I walked into the center (about 15 mins) and found just one bar open. The pools are handy as well, although some great sea pools nearby. Pico is the one island where we should have hired a car, so consider this when staying.

This is a well designed hotel situated about a km outside the main part of Madalena. Our rooms were a good size, modern and well presented and all the rooms are designed to have either a sea view or a mountain view. The hotel is in a modern wood design throughout and had a quiet feel when we were there in the last week of June. Breakfast offered a good variety each day. Hotel had an easy to access indoor and outdoor swimming pool, with sauna and jacuzzi, all well presented.

Excellent! Large, comfortable room with great AC. This is a fairly new hotel so everything is clean and really nice. Pool, sauna and hot tub after climbing Pico Mtn were great. Walking distance to many great restaurants, ferry terminal and town. The only thing missing is a gym. Breakfast was perfect and the onsite restaurant is really good!

This is a great option for those looking to stay in the area. Ample parking, spa facilities including a Turkish bath, and an outdoor pool. Staff was friendly, continental breakfast included, would certainly consider staying here again.

Great time! We spend the afternoon in the spa and massage. Great spa and very professional massage. I would definitely recommend.
