I made a hotel reservation with *********** for reservation for a one night stay in a hotel in Morocco. Bearing in mind when I made the reservation I opted in to pay later and not now because I wanted to view the room at the hotel to make sure all was in check. when we arrived at the hotel around I told the receptionist do not to check us in because we want to view the room first, We asked the receptionist if we could see the room before we proceeded, the receptionist mentioned the price we got quoted on *********** and also told us that we had to pay other taxes and she presented a document that didn’t have a *********** logo on it, so it was unofficial and we asked how are these taxes being made up and she couldn’t answer the question, she told us they were taxes that just needed to be paid. The the amount was around £180 GBP and also asked us to leave a £300 deposit behind the reception for services which wasn’t mentioned in ***********’s website, So I asked the receptionist why wasn’t this information mentioned on *********** or before we made a reservation? and She still couldn’t answer the question. So we proceeded to view the room and as shown on the pictures, the swimming pool in the room was very small and wasn’t the same picture on the ***********’s website the pool was extremely small and was basically a pound for goldfish. Now satisfied that we had seen the room we decided we was not going to stay the night. because *********** failed to mention the hidden taxes charges or the £300 pound’s that we had to leave behind the customer service reception desk, if we had stayed the night, it would’ve cost us around £1000 pounds for one nights, bearing in mind *********** quoted us for £419 pounds for the one night stay. Bearing in mind when I was charged the full amount, it was the precise amount we was quoted, they didn’t take any extra taxes that they asked us to pay and also there wasn’t cancellation fee involved, so they took the whole amount as if we stayed the night. In these circumstances what usually happens is you pay a small cancellation fee they don’t take the full amount if you didn’t stay. Sometime later the hotel tried to take a cancellation fee from my account, I received an email from *********** asking me to update my credit card details, which I didn’t. so that the hotel could go ahead and process the cancellation fee, bearing in mind on my reservation with *********** it didn’t mention a cancellation fee, so this further proves my point that ***********, is a fraudulent company and it allows hotels to extort there customers. It appears that this cancellation fee was generated last minute because it wasn’t mentioned before hand and if it had existed it would’ve been taken the same day. Avoid this hotel at all cost I’m a dual national and you’re hearing this first hand from a moroccan citizen, the hotel stopped answering my calls when I was trying to resolved the issue. Reported this to my bank and they are resolv
