인기 리옹 07.Gerland/제를랑 호텔

Room was very basic. The door to the bathroom was very annoying, very cheap and extremely noisy. They could have added an additional door to the shower because it's easy to put water everywhere in the bathroom when showering. Staff were ok I guess, not the most amazing service but politely french 🤣 breakfast was fine, just the boiled bacon that was being sold as crispy bacon was a big disappointment haha Bedroom was very clean I admit and linen too. Just a shame there was no bin because we had to leave our rubbish on the side table for the cleaning service to pick up. The socket on my side of the bed wasn't working and we felt the A/C was a bit cold, hard to navigate the exact temperature as it is only colour coded and not numbered. Overall a bit pricey experience (230€ for 2 nights) for quite a basic service.

이 호텔은 제가 머물렀던 최악의 호텔 중 하나였습니다. 구체적으로 설명하기 전에 직원은 훌륭하고 매우 친절했으며 친절했습니다. 나는 방의 상태에 대해 그들을 비난하지 않습니다. 우리가 가진 첫 번째 방은 바로 길가에 있는 1층이었습니다. 처음에는 괜찮을 것 같았지만 너무 시끄러워서 6박을 묵고 있었는데 바꿔달라고 했더니 그날 늦게 이사할 수 있는 방을 찾았습니다. 첫 번째 방은 괜찮았고, 낡은 것 같았습니다. 침구와 침대는 새 것 같았고 에어컨도 작동해서 작동 가능하다고 생각했습니다. 소음이 나서 다음 방으로 옮겼더니 또 끔찍한 방이 생겼습니다. 화장실 천장에 구멍이 나서 물이 새더군요. 전신거울이 깨져서 혹시라도 부딪쳐서 넘어질까봐 걱정이 되었어요. 벽지 벗겨짐이나 페인트 손질과 같은 사소한 문제만 있었습니다. 이 회사가 최근에 이 호텔을 구입한 것으로 알고 있지만 객실이 개조될 때까지는 개장해서는 안 됩니다. 방은 총체적인 철거와 재작업이 필요했습니다. 이것은 예약할 때 기대했던 품질이 전혀 아닙니다. 또한 건물에 접근하려면 스와이프할 수 있는 열쇠가 필요하다는 말을 들었지만 이는 사실이 아니었습니다. 누구나 언제든지 입장할 수 있었습니다. 나는 그곳에서 안전하다고 느낀 적이 없습니다. 우리가 가졌던 두 번째 방은 훨씬 뒤쪽에 있었기 때문에 그곳이 더 안전하다고 느꼈지만 체크아웃 시간이 되어서 떠날 수 있어서 매우 기뻤습니다. 따라서 곧 여기에 머무를 예정이라면 예약하기 전에 객실이 개조되었는지 확인하는 것이 좋습니다.

This hotel has a funky fun bar with friendly staff. It has a restaurant with excellent food and a great breakfast, especially the juicer (scrambled eggs and mushrooms were cold the second time though). It is let down by the rooms which are really very average and the little welcome notes, although sweet, do not change this. Bed is comfy though. My room (606)?was pretty much a disaster as it had the smell of sewage coming through from what I could gather the second sink. I mentioned this three or four times. They said they put some product in there but that didn’t help. If you kept your window open it was better and the last night the smell was so bad I had to keep my window open all night. I did ask if I could have some compensation- they would have offered free parking but I didn’t have a car, and that was it. A little gesture could have made a big difference… you would expect better when you pay over 200 euros a night. Also, Accor silver/gold/platinum members note: no welcome drink, instead an extra bottle of water and two cookies…

Despite it's a modern bulding, dating from the last decade, air conditionning NEVER worked. In Lyon, a city which facing regularly heatwaves (up to 40° C / 104 ° F) !!! Very poor service from ”Appart' City” brand, belonging to ”Park & Suites” group. *********** Futhermore, front desk staff seem to be mythomaniac : - the first, an man speaking French with an Italian accent, told me his manager would be there at around 07.30 on following morning. He also precised this manager was used to reimburse up to 70 % of stay's rate, due to the default aircon. - the second told me his colleague gave me false informations. She gave me the e-mail of the Back Office and recommended me to deal this issue directly with the (supposed to be) manager. This last was of course not there and front desk staff is not allowed to give her phone number. Both told me they were supposed to fix definitely aircon but when first lockdown happened in March 2020, they ran out of money. With that poor service (NO aircon, broken fan, etc...) don't waste your money for that society... It would be not a huge loss if they are going bankrupt... ******** I wrote an e-mail to this Back Office and to Appart'City HQ. NONE of them bothered themselves to answer. Lyon Gerland's Back Office did not even read my claim, written in French (see snapshot) ******** (As a native French, I chose to write this TripAdvisor rating in English. There are aleady plenty of ratings in French. I just should have read them first before booking...)

Looking at the hotel from the outside may give the wrong impression. You can expect a super friendly and committed staff. Small but very clean and comfortable rooms. Since the ”old” Ibis times breakfast has evolved to a full offer of fresh products nicely displayed. You would definitely not expect such a good experience looking at the price, hotel class and the outer look.

Rooms ok, dated but clean. Absolutely shocking treatment in the bar and reception tonight. Internet down wouldn't accept cash but funnily enough the Internet came back just as the bar was closing and the staff wouldn't serve anyone. In Coupe de Monde, you would think the hotel would cover all eventualities. Not so, really disappointing evening. Will not frequent the hotel facilities for the rest of our stay, will use independent bars and bistros. Also very disappointed that they advertise use of the pool, yet they've closed it down, so no opportunity to use during our stay. No explanation given!!

주차장이 불편하고 요금은 12유로입니다. 전체적인 방은 깨끗합니다. 화장실은 다른 유럽 호텔과 동일합니다. 그들은 누출되기 쉽습니다. 아침 식사는 허용되며 선택의 여지가 적습니다.

I’ve stayed at lots of Ibis branded hotels all of Europe - and this probably ranks somewhere in the middle of them. The hotel’s easy to get to - a few minutes’ walk from Jean Macé Metro station (itself a few stops down from the city’s main rail terminus) - but in a slightly rough area of Lyon (we arrived a few days after anti-government protests and the local streets were full of graffiti and smashed bus shelters; other areas of Lyon on our trip were untouched). On arrival, we were checked in promptly and the rooms seemed to have been recently renovated: the furniture and decor were in a good condition and the bathroom was nicely tiled. However, like so many Ibis properties, they’ve decided not to lose the pebble dash-style interior walls and simply painted them grey - which feels a bit naff. The receptionist we dealt with had a slightly odd attitude - including with left luggage - and warned us about strikes on the Metro that weren’t happening, meaning we slightly panicked unnecessarily about a connecting train on our departure. We didn’t eat breakfast at the Ibis either as it was too expensive. All in all though, our room was clean, quiet, comfortable and in a better state than others in the chain.
