호텔 토렌베르크(Hotel Thorenberg)

The hotel is old with facilities, however if you only sleep for nights, the price is acceptable.

Das Hotel ist eines der günstigsten im 3-Sterne-Bereich in der Umgebung von Luzern. Es hat einen grossen Gratisparkplatz vor dem Haus. Die Zimmer im vorderen Bereich wurden irgendwann mal modernisiert, im hinteren Teil sind sie noch älter. Problempunkt im vorderen Teil ist man sehr nah an der Strasse. Etwa 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt, beginnt die 80er-Zone einer Umfahrungsstrasse. Im Zimmer ohne Klimaanlage, möchte man in einer warmen Sommernacht vielleicht das Fenster offen lassen, da muss man aber sehr lärmresistent sein. Röhrende Motorräder, LKW's und massenhaft Autos die dort beginnen auf das Gas zu drücken oder eben umgekehrt mit hohen Geschwindigkeiten daherkommen und erst Höhe Hotel abbremsen. Da danach offenes Feld folgt, hört man den Lärm schon lange zuvor bzw. noch lange danach und das bis tief in die Nacht und bereits am frühen Morgen wieder. Dann habe ich die Zimmer auch als dreckig empfunden, macht den Eindruck nach einer oberflächlichen Schnell-Reinigung. In den Bildern sieht man dicke Staubschichten, da liegt die letzte Grossreinigung mehr als ein Jahr zurück und es ist nicht so, dass dies auf 2.2 m Höhe ist, wo keiner schaut. Nein, das beginnt ab 1.6 m. Die Betten sind auch zu hart. Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders umfangreich, das Notwendigste kann aber gefunden werden.

Prima hotel alleen de ramen openzetten is niet aan te raden omdat het aan een zeer drukke weg ligt. Helaas was de mail met de lockercode niet aangekomen, maar de eigenaar had ons op cam gezien en stond er een paar minuten later. Alles weer goedgeklede dus. De kamers zijn basic maar prima, zeker voor 1 nacht. Waren op doorreis naar Italië.

We arrived on a Monday, when the hotel basically is closed (Sunday as well). You get your keys from a coded box. Our rooms faced a busy road, and, with no air-conditioning, meant open windows and road noise. There was no refrigerator in the room. The beds were small but comfortable, as was the pillow. The shower was nice. Breakfast was good though minimal, mostly cold items such as bread, meats, cheeses, croissants, yogurt, etc. The coffee is great. Parking was ample and free. Service was friendly and accommodating. There is nothing in the near vicinity and Luzern is far away, so if you are planning on visiting Luzern you should book another hotel. You can use mass transit, but it will take you awhile to get into the city.

Absolutely fabulous, great communication and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and beds were comfortable. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room but this is common in the region. Highly recommended

Stayed there for one week. Overall, the room was nice and clean with a hottub, which we didn't expect. The bed was comfortable but it was made by putting two separate smaller beds side by side. They moved apart when we wanted to sleep close to each other - it may or may not apply to everyone. There was no air conditioning in the room and we had to use the windows. The property did not have laundry service. Didn't see do jot disturb sign to not clean room on some days, but we may have missed it. Breakfast was very good. Staff were bery friendly, courteous, and helpful. The restaurant at the hotel was good too.

Average hotel, nothing spectacular. NO AC in rooms. Limited staffing within hotel. Small rooms and smaller bathrooms. Rooms are the size of cruise ships. Very small showers. Ok for a short stays.

Easy 7 mins walk from Littau station which is 1 stop from Lucern main station Front desk lady Monica very nice enough to check room and giving early check in at 12 + noon. Fairly big size room and free WIFI. No kettle, asked for 1 and was very promptly delivered. Free breakfast included Cons. Room 304 very close to busy road. Vehicles can be quite loud but if you are not bothered then ok. Shower uses shower curtains so water may spill about toilet, a bit annoying but can make do with it.
