호텔&호스텔 몬타리나(Hotel&Hostel Montarina)

從火車站1號站台前行200米上個斜坡就到酒店了，如果去盧加諾湖，要穿越火車站，再下樓梯。酒店很美麗，衞生還行，有游泳池，可惜我們沒時間去游泳。推薦。

Due to illness in our group, we had to do a lot of rescheduling which involved extending our stay several times. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location quite near the train station is superb if you want to use the hostel as a base for exploring Ticino.

Last minute booking here after I missed my train and had to suddenly rearrange travel plans. Staff super friendly and the lady even stayed late to let me in and kept good communication by email. I had a lovely big private room with comfortable bed and a sink. The hostel is in a superb location and in lovely grounds (I wish I had been able to stay long enough to use the pool!). As it is a hostel the facilities were fairly basic and there was some early morning noise from people as my room was next to reception (get a room upstairs if possible), but nothing unreasonable or unexpected. I would definitely stay here again and recommended it to others I met on my travels

I really loved my stay here! It was one of the highlights of my trip as the hostel is really beautiful, lovely staff and great pool area with a view of the mountains! The lady at reception recommended I take the breakfast buffet as well and it was amazing! Every food you could ever dream of in a beautiful setting! Definitely a 10/10, would highly recommend!

the best hostel experience of my travels. the hotel rooms are on the upper floors of a beautiful Villa right behind the Lugano train station (5 minute walk). the hostel rooms are in the cellar. one communitity bathroom with 2 showers and 2 WC and 3 separate rooms with bunk beds. small pillows, sheet and blanket are included. community kitchen and large fridge for food and drinks. the MOST AMAZING POOL! with sun lounge beds, small bar and towels. for a summer visit to Lugano, it is best value stay and very easy to find.

Don’t forget to get the Breakfast. It is wonderful!

Hostel was very close to the train station which was ideal. However is fair trek from the waterfront. Albeit there is very accessible funicular which runs late into the night. Upon arrival, we were greeted. We were told we couldn’t used the bathroom on our floor because the majority of the floor had been booked by a group. This is unacceptable, especially given the poor lighting on the stairway. The room lack charging slots/sockets which made it hard to fully charge all devices. The room was clean and although slightly outdated, perfectly acceptable for a short stay. The hostel is combined with a hotel and provides access to an on-site swimming pool. The hostel doesn’t offer secure luggage storage as bags are only able to be left in a communal area. There is also no lift access so potentially unsuitable for some, especially on higher floors.

This hotel close to the main train station shares its lovely grounds with a hostel. Our room was up a flight of stairs so suitcases had to be lugged up with no elevator. Our room had a balcony, but no curtains across the glass doors. Fortunately, there were shutters that could be closed to block the morning light and some of the train station noise. Alas, part of the convenience of being close to train station is train noise. Proper use of earplugs takes care of this issue. The bathroom is small and bath gel is provided only in tiny pouches. The bed is comfy and they provided an extra pillow on request. There a small frig and welcome AC in this warm part of Switzerland.
