Muping Chaoxing Farmhouse (Jinshanling Great Wall Branch)

The room was spotless, modern and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Cho the business owner was a superb host, going way above and beyond to help. Very knowledgeable about Great Wall matters. Cho’s brother’s restaurant directly across the road was absolutely delicious and affordable. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Cho!

We stayed another night because of bad rainy weather. The way to the wall and ticket office can be easily done by food from the hotel.

Similar - perfect - review for the other booking we made for September. As mentioned, friendly owner upgraded us to the suite (3 rooms + living room + kitchen) for 2 nights, then we went to the rooms we had booked initially, as another family had booked the suite. Photos are of 1 of the rooms in the suite, with attached garden, but upstairs isn't too different (4 rooms, all brand-new). Everything is very clean, as advertised. Owners do speak some English, so no problem communicating (anyway, my wife, daughters and sister-in-law speak Chinese so it wouldn't have been a problem). Owner also arranged for a car to bring us to the various entrances, and the train station the last day, so it was all very smooth, we only had to climb the Great Wall, which was gorgeous (we knew Jinshanling is one of the most beautiful sections). We look forward to coming back, at a different time of the year (end of winter or end of autumn), so we look forward to coming back again... and tasting your cooking too ! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable !!!

The hotel is located very close to jingshangling tourist center, allowing to easily climb for the sunrise. The owner is very nice and will give you many tricks for your climb. Need to be recommended+++

I cannot recommend this place enough! Firstly, we needed to drop our bags off at 10am once the train arrived in Gubeikou and they were so happy to let us into our room/hold our bags that early. Then they subsequently wowed us with their hospitality. They gave us their contact so they could give us a ride back to the accommodation from the base of the walk at Jinshanling at the end of the day. They upgraded our room. They recommended an excellent and well priced restaurant for dinner (across the road). They arranged a car to take us to the base of the wall at 0320 for sunrise. The room was beautiful, clean and beds so comfy after a day walking the wall

The room was perfect. The host was very nice and he drove us to buy some fruit to have energy for the great wall. They offered free water. The restaurant in front is very nice with delicious food
