빌라 마이두 부티크 호텔(Hotel Villa Maydou)

The hotel is based in an attractive array of traditional buildings with stepping stones through the gardens to each one. In our bathroom there was a swarm of flying insects which was unpleasant but we dealt with them without too much bother (sorry vegans but they had to go). The bathroom has a shower attachment and curtain over the bath, the toilet room didn't have a washbasin which seems a little. As for the TV I wasn't aware that you could buy one that small, there wasn't any English language stations and most of them looked as if it was snowing. In fairness it wasn't an inconvenience for us as we didn't come to watch television. Our room had Aircon and ceiling fans which was most welcome. The hotel appears to be on the flight path of the local airport but they have hardly any flights so it wasn't problematic. The pool is quite small with green tiles which nicely complements the surroundings, it's large enough to cool off in which is the main thing, it's the same depth of 1.6 meters over the whole length. Near the pool are sunloungers with parasols, three tables and chairs with chess sets, conveniently towels are available by the bar, also you can borrow bicycles which is a nice idea.

A beautiful hotel in an wonderful location.; it is very quiet but within an easy walk of the historic centre. Beautiful gardens and pool. Traditional style accommodation, beautifully decorated and very comfortable.. Great showers. Really friendly staff. Wonderful breakfasts

Lovely and charming hotel with spacious rooms in authentic and historic buildings, next to a temple and a short distance from the heart of the city which added to the overall charm. The staff were very helpful. Special thanks go to the owners, Noy and Patrick, for their professionalism and courtesy, which was much appreciated. This establishment is highly recommended for its delightful ambience, very good service and convenient location.

Excellent hotel, very spacious rooms, attractive grounds and a small but useful swimming pool ( don't let the green tiles put you off). The staff are lovely, always helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The only reason it's four stars is that there is not tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

We enjoyed the location, a little outside the main drag and the historic buildings nestled together. However, it was too noisy; noise from the road starts early bit particularly from the rooms. The floorboards were so creeky, in our room and others so it just disturbed everyone. We could also hear people's alarms and things. Breakfast was a bit disorganised too

We stayed 3 nights at this beautiful hotel and if we ever come back to Luang Prabang, we will stay there again. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our room was quite large and we had a very good boxspring bed. We even had our own veranda overlooking the pool. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - I can only recommend the 'spicy Lao omelette'. The service was super friendly.

great little find a short distance from the night market. this was part of a tour and the best property we stayed in. our room was large and comfortable and a good breakfast, right next door to a monastery

My husband and I stayed at Villa Maydou for more than a week in April 2023. Our travel company booked it for us, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s beautiful, peaceful and feels luxurious. We enjoyed the short walk into town and having monks as neighbors. The most impressive thing about Villa Maydou is the staff. They are very attentive, maintain high standards and are friendly and helpful. It was hard to leave, and we only hope we can return soon!

Great place to stay at in Luang Prabang! The hotel is super charming with rooms in lovely historical buildings, it's comfortable, quiet and very welcoming, we really enjoyed our three days at Villa Maydou!
