I'm a customer with some regularity from the bar area - restaurant There are drunk customers who interfere with other customers, being inconvenient and rude and rubbing against aggressiveness. All this happens in the presence of the employees, who observe without doing nothing, not even calling security. The hotel management should take measures, so there are problems with excess alcohol and lack of security in common areas of the hotel.

They were fantastic, provided us with a room upgrade, allowed for a late checkout. The service and cleanliness was exceptional.

I’ve stayed at the Tropico several times on business trips, typically my stay is between 2-3 weeks so it’s important to choose the right place. Not only is the Tropico conveniently located in the heart of the city but it’s got a chilled vibe. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily to a high standard, staff are great, friendly and approachable. Breakfast is really good, bar snacks are good, the only criticism is that the menu is very limited, especially if you’re staying for a long period. Definitely worth a stay.

I was ill when I arrived after 30 hours of multiple flights. While I was checking in, Maria Mendes (Rooms Division Manager) met me and offered assistance. She was genuinely concerned and I felt quite comfortable. During my 15-day stay, she periodically checked on me to be sure I was OK. My room was a 3-room suite (1 1/2 bath) with views of the Bay: Large living room with a corner mini-kitchen, a room set up like an office, and a large comfortable bedroom. As I was not well, my colleagues came to my suite instead of me going to their office. So, the suite's office was perfect for 2-3 people with laptops to collaborate. Even though I do not speak Portuguese, I had no problems communicating with the very polite and helpful staff. This hotel has the best gymnasium of any I've seen elsewhere. Next to the gym is a salon and I did get a fine very economic haircut. The morning breakfast buffet has a wide selection of quality food. I ate in that dining room (restaurant) for lunch. The menu as well as wine selection will please anyone. My one "complaint"? I was not accustomed to the huge serving I was given. Delicious. Often, I ate at the cafe/bar adjacent to the swimming pool. It's less formal than the main dining room and you get the benefit of a refreshing light breeze. The Tropico must be the best hotel in Luanda. I felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after. I will stay there again, and I will recommend it to friends.

Our stay in the Hotel Tropico Luanda was fabulous. The ambiance between business and leisure was really good. We can easily feel that it is a business hotel but feel also like home thanks to the always great support of the hole Team and the warm welcoming. For us, this hotel is highly recommanded. Got a perfect reception and was graciously assisted with my crazy demands, nice food and excellent conferencing facilities in a perfect location. The state of the art and fully equipped executive lounge was very handy. Specific kudos to Esperenca.

Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly and cheerful staff, enormous health club and stellar service. The hotel restaurant is befitting that of a 5-star hotel and the pool bar has the most variegated menu I’ve seen (and the patatas bravas are to die for!). The rooms are excellent and quiet, the wifi fast and management is very obliging, eager to see genuinely satisfied guests.

Having always stayed at a different 5 star hotel in Luanda, I was talked round to trying the Tropico by colleagues who could not stop raving about the great service they got at Tropico and so I decided to give it a try and I am so glad that I did. From the professional and friendly Daniel and Esperanca at the front desk, to Joao who runs the restaurant where he personally checks on each guest. The service here is unrivalled, the staff move like a well oiled machine and the rooms are extremely clean. Thanks Maria Mendes and team. This is first class service with a smile.
