From the second we stepped out of the car and walked to the front desk by a sweet gentleman in the restaurant to being given a delicious Kentucky mule by Serenity in the front and swiftly walked to our room, the rest of our stay was incredible to say the least. We had the best time with Kayla at the pool for a beverage and dinner with Gabriella and Anthony was probably one of my favorite dinner experiences I’ve ever had. I am notorious for dining out in my hometown and I know amazing service when I receive it. Everyone on the grounds greets you with a Colgate smile and offers every service there is to offer. I was excited to get back to the property after each day just because it felt like home. I couldn’t wait to get home and talk to my friends and family about how much of an amazing experience we had and made me and my sisters 30th birthday so special. I can’t wait to go back!

This was my third time staying at this property in the past two years. Not just the property and restaurants an amanities are great. Every staff member here is so friendly and amazing. I’ll definitely keep coming back—again and again. Thank you!

Amazing destination with a relaxing ambiance - love the tavern and the pool areas in addition to the very comfortable rooms - we will visit again soon!

Absolutely stellar resort - the staff is kind and helpful, the food is incredible and fresh, and the town is super cute. 10/10 experience, the rooms are fabulous and all have either a fireplace or fire pit and a waterfall shower head :D The property is beautiful and there are so many great spaces to hang out and enjoy the sun. We hosted an event there and it could not have gone smoother or be more fun! Can't wait to come back.

My experience was so exceptional I extended a 2nd night so I stayed this July 13-15 th (Sunday to Tuesday). I took advantage of their Sunday 1 night promotion. My purpose was taking my girlfriend who loves wine tasting. In the past I have always stayed in Santa Barbara and I was glad my friend how lives in Santa Barbara highly recommended this property for me. This was my first trip to Los Olivos. The Inn It delivered in all fronts. Nothing but 5 stars and exceptional service from the attentive caring staff. The details and the details were delivered with precision. The property is literally 2 years new and I felt like the All Stay Restoration Hardware Designer team came in and did their magic. We noticed all the details. I stayed in the garden room and loved out two patios. I enjoyed the salt water pool and am yoga's and the gym was exceptional. Top notch bedding too! A couple things to point out. 1) Andrew Nichols- because of you i booked with Auberge over Fess Parker Inn. I am so glad i did & the little extra of having this perfect mini vacation was loved by my GF & I. Thank you. 2) Natalia at front desk shared which i did not know, or i failed to read The Inn welcome emails, the Inn has a promotion with many of the local wineries ie- Sunstone who provide guests of The Inn, comped (free) wine samplings. I showed the key, received free wine tastings. tipped the curators well, and we must have had 4 complimentary samples due to you. I bought a bottle of wine as most of our stops so it helps the ecosystem of goodwill. Also, I learned, which i was beyond shockingly surprised The Inn has several high end luxury cars for their guests to try out with their wine adventures. I was torn between borrowing a G Wagon & Maybach Mercedes for my stunning drives to the local wineries. I may likely never drive a Mayback again but at least i had this luxury experience once in my life. Another nice act of service i asked for smores, as I saw other guest drinking wine making a smores, since they ran out the front desk send me a complimentary chocolate moose. My takeaways- arrive early, check out late, enjoy the hotel 5 star new property. I had to leave at 10am on Tuesday and felt I cheated myself of lingering all day as the hotel pampers you. We were very happy with our stay and will return. You an literally not leave the property at all and be happy. I wanted more time there. I will highly recommend The Inn at Mattei's Tavern

You can tell that so much care has gone into preserving the soul of this historic property while elevating it with modern touches. And the restaurant? Beyond words. Every meal was a celebration of fresh, local ingredients — perfectly prepared, beautifully plated, and genuinely delicious. The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. I found myself looking forward to every bite (and sip of wine!). Mattei’s is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience that nourishes your senses and your soul. Whether you’re visiting for a romantic weekend, a family getaway, or a solo retreat, this place offers something magical. Already dreaming about my next visit.
