Worst experience ever! Never thought this would happen when booking a 5 star appartement (€1000 for 4 nights) Booked for 3 people, 1 bedroom and the sofa couch for myself. First night slept horrible, the bed of the sofa couch is so thin you can feel the iron bedframe through the bed which hurts. I told the reception about it and the first thing they said: we never received complaints about this and we do not have another bed. To make it a bit more comfortable for myself I put the couch pillows on the floor and the bed on top of that. I had to try something. Still not the best however. The next day I went to the reception again to tell them I now sleep on the floor. Again the person told me they never heard anyone complain about the sofa couch before. (As if I like sleeping on the floor?) Of the bed was ok to sleep on I would not have slept on the floor obviously. She told me I could upgrade it to a 2 bedroom appartment but I had to pay for it. Really? I Just told you I sleep on the floor because the bed is not right and now you tell I have to pay for an upgrade. Unbelievable really! They would bring an extra topper to the room to lay in top of the bed, but this never happened. Would never come here again! (The appartement itself is very nice and the bed in the bedroom is also very good I got notified about)

Our stay at Sanctum London Maida Vale in May 2023 was filled with disappointment and frustration. From the very first day, it seemed that something was constantly going wrong, and the customer service we received was absolutely terrible. Upon arrival, we discovered that one of the two showers in the apartment didn't work properly. Only hot water was available, while the cold water faucet was malfunctioning. The maintenance person who came to address the issue advised us to shower in the hot water, claiming it wasn't boiling. One of the major issues we encountered was with the so-called ”fully equipped kitchen.” However, none of the kitchen appliances were functional. The stove top failed to heat up, rendering it useless for cooking, and the toaster didn't work at all. It was incredibly frustrating to have a kitchen that was advertised as fully equipped but lacked even the most basic functionality. Even worse, the dishwasher was connected to the sewer through a flexible pipe that was carelessly dropped into the sink sewage system. As a result, the dishwasher leaked and drained wastewater onto the kitchen floor. This not only created an unhygienic environment but also posed a safety hazard. The inclusion of (3) pool and gym vouchers seemed promising, but even this aspect was marred by the hotel's disorganization. When we inquired about the vouchers, we were informed that the manager had already left for the day (at 6 pm), and it took significant effort and argumentation to obtain them. However, upon reaching the pool, we were shocked to learn that children were not allowed after 6 pm, although we were specifically told by the reception that the pool is open until 9pm. This lack of communication and mismanagement of the facilities ruined our evening plans and further highlighted the hotel's incompetence. To top it all off, we requested a one-hour late checkout, asking for a checkout time of 12 pm instead of the standard 11 am. Despite the hotel being virtually empty, our request was inexplicably denied. This inflexibility and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request demonstrated a disregard for guest satisfaction. The booking and check-in was very smooth. The lobby is impressive with a 24-hour front desk service. We checked in late in the night and were very impressed with the generously size 3 bedroom apartment with four full bathrooms. Our family of four became six after two nights and five for the next few days. In the last four days we were only four people in this huge apartment. All was going well until the day… Our grandson came back from London Zoo with face paint which we later decided to remove before he went to bed. We used one of the towels (wetting it) and got the paint out. Agreed that 1/20th of the towel was stained which is typical but having done that several times back home, we knew it needed just one wash for the colour to get off the towels. My husband got a call a few hours later on the apartment phone, from one of the reception staff by the name of Mr. Krzysztof, telling him that there was blood on the towel and it was ruined. Several points to make here- when you assume something or go on heresay you always give the other accused party a chance to respond. My husband told him it was face paint but Mr. Krzysztof stood his ground also ignoring the black paint that was with the red paint (spider man theme ). Secondly, he did not ask how the guest was if he had seen “so much blood”. He could not be bothered and said we had to compensate for the towel! I went downstairs a little while later and had a conversation with him in a stern tone but never raising my voice. He refused to believe me so I asked to speak with the manager. He called the manager and told him that I was screaming in the lobby. The second staff at the front desk is proof to the fact that I did not raise my voice. Viola! The manager voiced the same words as Mr. Krzysztof and said it was blood! All based on what was told to them by housekeeping who did not speak a word of English. I told him that this was a insignificant cost to the company if at all the towel was ruined and he said it was not as they were “a small company” and could not absorb the cost. I didn’t know that there were many meanings to the term “small company”. It also meant that you had to go to front desk to get extra sheets, you are given only seven towels as that is the number of maximum guests allowed in the apartment of that size and no more (they actually made me go and check how many towels and hand towels I had and report back to them so they could decide if I could have more) and also, all the toiletries are just a starter kit as per the manager. You have to then use your own and nothing is replenished. There was one day that two towels were not replaced in one of the bathrooms and they refused to believe me that the towels were not replaced. What is it with these towels! The conversation ended with me asking them to wash the towel and see the outcome. 이 호텔을 사랑하고 항상 여기에 머물면서 친절한 직원을 만나는 것이 좋습니다. 저와 가족은 2022 년 6 월 Jubilee Bank Holiday 주말에 Hampstead의 Quality Hotel에 머물 렀습니다. 호텔은 매우 좋았고 객실은 크기가 좋았으며 깨끗했습니다. 튜브에 쉽게 접근 할 수있는 좋은 위치에 있습니다. 체크인시 여성 안내 원은 매우 환영하고 친절했습니다. 아침 식사는 따뜻하고 차가운 선택이 있었고 아침 식사 직원도 매우 도움이되었습니다. 나는 호텔 뒤에 항목을 남겼고 직원들은 나에게 게시하게되어 매우 기뻤습니다. 직원의 이름을 기억할 수 없습니다. 아마도 데메트리 일 것입니다. 그는 항목이 나에게 반환되었는지 확인하기 위해 계속해서 넘어갔습니다. 매우 감사합니다. 나는 모든 직원의 훌륭한 서비스로 인해이 호텔에 다시 머물 것입니다.

Have been to The Black Lion before but this is the first time since the revamp. In terms of stunning architecture, this is my favourite pub in London hands down. The ceiling is particularly stunning. Friendly welcome from the bar staff, grabbed a drink and then headed for our reservation in the the VERY impressive and refurbished dining room. Cannot recommend the new Indian menu highly enough. We had a range of dishes as an impromptu tasting platter and everything tasted fresh. Amazing flavours and even given a carry out container to take the leftovers home. All washed down with some delicious German Rothaus Pilsner. Will be going back ASAP!
