The Lake Country House & Spa is the Best Hotel we have ever stayed at. The owner and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Home from home. ♥️ My daughter really needed a break. We greatly enjoyed the swimming pool and jacuzzi with stunning views of the lake. The massage was devine, the best we have ever had. Warm oil, and very relaxing. Our bedroom suite was beyond perfect. We were right by the door which was handy for our doggy. Melody's Dad played the piano when he dropped us off, which we greatly enjoyed. The walks by the lake and river were exceptional. We could not have wished for anything more. We could not believe this stunning hotel is diggy friendly. The room and hotel reminded us of Jane Austen. We will be back.

Wanted a night away with a bit of luxury to unwind and relax, and the stay didn't disappoint. The room was beautiful with everything you needed. The spa facilities were quiet and had it all to ourselves, so made the most of the steam room and sauna. And plenty swimming in the good size pool. The evening meal was delicious and the staff all super friendly and attentive. Breakfast was also delicious, and it was lovely to have breakfast brought to your table. Tea and toast brought also..only buffet was cereals and juice which was a lovely change!! The grounds were beautiful to walk round. Would definitely go back as I felt completely pampered and relaxed

Afternoon tea - Spent a relaxing enjoyable couple of hours sharing afternoon tea with three friends, served by friendly staff in lounge warned by real fire. Came away wishing we had started arrived earlier and left later. Sandwiches, savouries, scones/jam/clotted cream, cakes and tea. One of our party cheekily suggested that they were disappointed that there were no cucumber sandwiches... the waiter called his bluff and returned soon afterwards with freshly made cucumber 'finger' - excellent!

Beautiful characterful property with warming log burners. The ambience created by Pierre and the team is fabulous. The service from Adam and Becca was just right. The new spa and swimming areas are quiet and relaxing and the walk around the lake gives one time to drift away in your own thoughts.

This hotel is a very lovely find. as all the reviews say the staff are so well trained nothing is too much for them. they all make you feel welcome and look after you. very grand without pretentiousness. The food was amazing and the beds really comfortable. the spa was nice with the hot tub overlooking the lake nice touch. The grounds were lovely I would highly recommend cant wait to stay again thanks team

I booked the hotel after reading the Sunday Times, and the GM was so pleasent. I booked a 3 day trip for my wife's Susie's birthday !!. We soon met Pierre, and he was so charming and helpful, he moved me into Lodge 1. What a wonderful memory, apart from one real issue. I ordered the chicken and I was so upset when the peas I asked for were very low quality and nearly cold, then the chips, For this type of resturant you would not expect packet frozen chips. I expected Fat chips, peeled and cut by the kitchen. For £60 per person you do not expect this, it was quite a shock. Apart from that service, the room and breakfast were very very good.
