T 마르 컨트리 호텔(Ty Mawr Country Hotel)

Very warm welcome from the hosts David and Gill. Comfortable cosy bedroom, with lovely bed linen. First class cuisine. Arrived on a lovely sunny afternoon, complimentary tea/coffee and home made Bara brith in the garden, very relaxing. Not far away from the attractions and lovely gardens.

Do yourself a favour and stay in this lovely hotel in Wales. Rooms are very well laid out with garden views, couch, all tea coffee , good connectivity, lighting etc. Bathroom was lovely with gorgeous products. Restaurant downstairs serves exceptional food - best we’ve had in UK. Parking on site, hosts are friendly and helpful. Have been in UK for 2 weeks and this is easily the best place we’ve stayed. Loved it.

Really enjoyed our short stay with very hospitable hosts. Welcomed with tea and Bara Brith which was a lovely touch. Room was very comfortable and the evening meal superb. I would definitely stay here again. The hosts accidentally overcharged us but then contacted me by phone after we had left to rectify. First class service.

We were looking for something special to celebrate a wedding anniversary - and we found it. Ty Mawr is small but perfectly formed, the welcome was warm, the room cosy and the food fantastic. Locally sourced produce was turned into mouthwatering dishes, and the menu varied on both nights we were there. Saturday morning is special - home baked bread and buns are available to guests and locals - they had all been sold in an hour.

We're so glad that we came across this little gem of a hotel! We stayed here for a long weekend with our Border Collie, Buddy. I could go on for paragraphs about this place and how amazing it is, but I'll just list the best parts (In our opinion) - Food - Dinner every night was varied, made using local ingredients, fresh, timely and most importantly absolutely delicious every singe night. Breakfast was a great menu, lovely food and fresh pastries and fruit every day. - Rooms - Ours was beautiful, spotlessly clean, radiators to turn on if we were cold, view across the garden and a huge comfy bed! - Garden - Buddy loved roaming the garden which was clean and well kept with a little stream at the bottom. - Staff - David & Gill couldn't do enough for you, from a welcome our and drinks to special requests for desserts and cocktails! The rest of the staff were also lovely and clearly enjoy working with them. - Hotel - Clearly a very old building but well maintained and so many lovely touches like games and books in the lounge and information about the history of the building all over the hotel, along with lots of local produce. - Location - Pub up the road which is nice for lunch or a few beers, we spent one day at Mumbles which was on our way to the hotel and another day at Newquay Beach which was about 45 mins away. Lovely walks nearby for the doggo. - Buster - Has to have his own bullet point, 10/10 on the good boy scale, I wanted to take him home with us, put up with Buddy like a champ! Overall, we loved our stay and will absolutely be booking in again here hopefully in the summer where we plan to relax in the garden in between exploring more around the area. This beautiful hotel exceeded my expectations. The hosts were warm and friendly, welcoming to all, including the dogs. The food was first class, with highest standard local ingredients. In my opinion, this is a Michelin standard restaurant.

Everything about Ty Mawr was perfect! The host gave us a very warm welcome. Our rooms were bright and comfortable with nice views over the garden. Drinks in the cosy lounge were followed by some of the best food we have had for ages in similar hotels. Absolutely delicious and a completely different menu each evening. We had non-stop rain for our two days of exploring Aberglasney Gdns and the National Botanic Gdns (both fairly close) but so many extra touches from our host were very welcome eg taking our sodden walking clothes to dry in their boiler room😄. Fantastic place!!

This was our second visit to Ty Mawr and once again, we had a lovely relaxing break. We stayed in the Botanical Gardens room and it was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The food, once again was excellent at breakfast and dinner - great to see local ingredients and innovative dishes. We enjoyed an afternoon just sitting in front of the log fire reading, drinking tea and eating barabrith. Ty Mawr is close to Aberglasney and that's well worth a visit.

If you come to stay at this cosy gem in the Carmarthenshire countryside, don’t leave without having dinner. The welcome is warm, the bedrooms are well equipped and the beds are a bit like being enfolded in a marshmallow. The small number of rooms makes for a homely, personal experience. There’s plenty of armchairs to relax by wood burners with a drink from the bar. Overal though, the highlight for us was the food. Complimentary tea and cake on arrival set the tone. Dinner both evenings was an absolute treat. Top quality ingredients and perfect presentation inform the menu which changes by the day. High class dishes with no pretensions and no fuss. Brechfa is a bit off the beaten track but so much the better for a relaxing taste of proper Wales. It’s also really close to lots of attractions. We were there for the Antique Fair at the National Botanical Garden of Wales only 15 minutes from the hotel. We definitely recommend a stay at Ty Mawr.
