This hotel is spotless and cosy. The grounds are vast and gorgeous. The food is delicious. Staff are warm and friendly We loved sitting with our drinks in the conservatory in the evening before our dinner. The canapés served were delicious also.

Had dinner 4/4/25 on our wedding anniversary. Our first visit. The food was excellent and very reasonable for what it was. Wine selection good and again reasonable. Staff were very attentive. Well worth a visit to eat or stay. It was quiet when we went and I hope more people give it a try.

We stayed in Ty’n Rhos for one night taking the opportunity of enjoying their St Dwynwen (the Welsh patron saint of lovers) package: light lunch, evening drinks and 5 course meal, bed and breakfast. It was an interesting formula and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff are extremely welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. I would have preferred the dining room to be slightly better lit as it was at times difficult to fully appreciate the content of your plate, although the food was excellent. The bedroom we had on the ground floor with patio (although of course it was too cold to be sitting out in January) was extremely weird appointed, the bedroom extremely comfortable. Although we live locally we have stayed there before and have always liked our stay. I would certainly recommend this country house hotel, quiet, luxurious and friendly.

We have been to Ty'n Rhos several times and had various rooms all of which have been very well furnished and comfortable. I really cannot accept the poor reviews from some people on this website, given our experience and they have also had many celebrities stay. The latter must have visited on recommendation as famous people like discreet service and I am sure that is what they got from the team here. We find it homely, welcoming well furnished and clean and although a limited changing menu the food is very good. In North Wales you could not stay at a better hotel if you want informality, good food, lovely management and staff and within a short distance of many tourist attractions.

This was a return visit and we very much appreciated the room upgrade. The hotel is tucked away in the countryside providing a relaxing venue, but also an ideal location for visiting Snowdonia, Anglesey and many attractions within 30 minutes drive. The staff are very attentive offering advice when required and the restaurant offers a variety of meals of a good quality. A quality hotel whether you are looking for a special occasion venue or a peaceful location for a relaxing break.

We had Afternoon Tea at Ty'n Rhos on my Mother's 85th Birthday this afternoon. I had been in touch to request our particular kind of sandwiches, namely egg, salmon ( tin) and cheese and onion, different to the ones on the Menu. They were fresh and delicious. The Cakes, scone with jam and cream, small dessert were also lovely, exceptional creme brulee. The tea was strong as requested, made with loose leaf tea, perfect. An enjoyable afternoon, with good service and welcome. Also good company. I have had many, many Afternoon Teas, from Claridges in London to more local. This one is the best I have had, for many reasons, it was wonderful. Also we had plenty of room to relax and it was quite private, as I prefer. We will be back. Diolch yn fawr.
