Probably the worst hotels ive stayed in.noise all night noise all day,i am a contractor on a backshift and got 4/5 hours sleep tops.1 pillow springs poking out of mattress.dirty on floor,tiles missing in bathroom the showerhead had a mini eco system, mould on walls .pics say rest.

I didnt stay as firstly my bank thought fraud payment as booked 24 hours before so payment declined & spoke to reception who rang me ,very abruptly telling me,more like shouting & the room was verbally cancelled that sat17th. ,I was aware no refund at time of booking BUT they the re processed my payment after our conversation and £ 315 pound for one night,one room for Radio 2 .not a penny refunded even when I explained serious health issue meant we couldnt make the trip. Ive worked for major hotels that would at least pay it back or partial payment. I knew after my first chat with Reception ,then my following conversations they would be unkind,not one penny refunded. Business is business but when you can predict how youll be treated & denying Id rang to discuss cancellation. Booked via ********* their slow response to cancellation didnt help. Be warned that they are not a friendly manager nor kind.

Absolutely appalling. The staff on arrival were as good as expected. The horror started when we thought we had settled and ready for bed. The bed mattress was covered with what you could only explain as dried urine. Nite time bugs - bathroom facilities were filthy and covered in scum all around the edges. Parking was another distressing experience which ended up costing me £60.00. One night we arrived back at the hotel , there appeared to be some lads who were at the front entrance to the hotel. We rushed in to avoid any confrontation, In the rush’s, forgot to log our car into the signing in log. Low and behold 5 days later, I receive a £60.00 fine for unauthorised parking - immediately rang croft hotel , spoke to the manager who was very pleasant advising that he was going to get it cancelled . Didn’t think nothing mire about it- 2 wks later i am receiving another letter stating the price has gone up to 120 as I had not responded. Frantically called Croft and advised that the manager was not available. This went on for days where I was being fobbed off . Absolute nightmare - terrible experience. Definitely not going back there again and if you reading this , I would advise you to consider else where. I travel a lot and I would say this is not a hotel to stay. Avoid yourself disappointment. It enticing when you see the advert, the actual stay was no where near what was sold out

I liked the size of the room, the comfy bed, and the free parking for the car, but the management should definitely improve the cleanliness of the rooms. On the furniture, bedside tables, and in the bathroom, there was a lot of dust. Good value for money.

The s is missing from HOTEL. It's a hostel. No disrespect for resident's. Very kind towards myself and dog who'd traveled for a funeral. Where to start! On arrival. Taken to the toom, down a short cigarette stale corridor. Thankfully, my door did lock! Toiletroll holder fell off the wall. Bathroom small light didn't work. Human grime incorporated into shower curtain hem. Base of the double bed! Stained and looked like two other separate bed had been pushed together. TV didn't work. Remote control celotped (batteries intact). Dressing table chair wobbled with a one finger touch. Dressing table draws all on the tilt. Wardrobe! Not brave enough to open door. Woodwork! Once a shade of white a few decades ago. Window couldn't open or completely close. Heating overwhelmingly hot! On the bright side the kettle worked! Broken glass, on road from a car. Front external door to street left unlocked 24/7! Thank God NO cooked breakfast. Go at your own peril.

I have just had a mad dash to try and find a Saturday night hotel, the week before Christmas, because they cancelled my hotel stay through ********** but put it down as me cancelling the room!!! Shocking! I was asleep when the emails came through. I phoned to ask what happened to eventually being told that the room had been cancelled as they had no rooms. I booked in October! I must say though. After reading through the reviews I’m a little relieved. And thankfully managed to get booked at a reliable chain nearby. If you are travelling to somewhere important don’t book here as it’s not worth the agro when they cancel.
