YHA 그램피언스 에코 홀스 갭(YHA Grampians Eco, Halls Gap)

Clean. Great location. Friendly. There is a but...it's a never ending symphony of slamming doors. Every time anyone exits or enters any room, every other room can hear it. BANG, BANG very loud. Good luck getting any sleep.

Front desk was very kind and helpful. Room and bathrooms were clean. Showering is tricky due to the small shower head you can’t move, I’m short and kept hitting my head against the rack they have under the shower head trying to wash my hair. Minor thing but heads up. My bf, who is a lot taller figured he’d rather Wait for our next hotel check in to shower as we were there only one night. My only major complaint is that the mattress is small and firm which hurts my back but my bf felt fine. More my back sensitivity and preference though.

If you are wanting an alternative to the confines of a hotel or motel room, this is an ideal place to stay, remembering that bathroom facilities are shared. There are two comfortable sitting rooms and a garden to sit in with many different spaces from which to enjoy the mountain ranges and their beauty. One sitting room has a tv the other, thankfully, is free to enjoy a quiet read, although lighting could be better. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and cooking and preparation spaces with a roomy dining area that overlooks a garden.

Very nicely located and looked after YHA. Good setup with two kitchens and lounge areas, + great dining room and outdoor eating / relaxing areas. Ended up staying three times using this as a base for hikes on the Grampians Peaks Trail. Hosts are excellent and very helpful (and actually on the desk, unlike a lot of YHA where desk is staffed by other travellers with little local knowledge). Would definitely recommend as a great base to see the Grampians.

Super friendly and helpful hosts, top facilities. Love the eco aspect: fresh eggs from the chooks, composting of kitchen scraps etc

Out of all the Halls Gap hostels I've stayed at the YHA is officially my favourite. The place has a really good a**osphere and the owners are some of the nicest I've met whilst travelling - they were happy to share local knowledge and made my stay all the nicer. Location is great and the facilities were clean and well maintained - they are really committed to being eco friendly and covid safe. Also I booked via the YHA itself so the price for my private room was cheaper than what I saw on the booking sites. The only negative I can think of was the type of toilet roll holder they have in the mens' toilets. Will definitely stay here again!!!

We had never done this type of accomodation before as a family, BJ and Tara were amazi g hosts and the facility was well run and very clean. Would definately recommend YHA Grampians to family and friends. Look forward to visiting again.
