My room Aircond is not functioning upon check in, tried calling the reception many times (between 3.30pm-6pm) but no one answers my calls! The negative experience begins……
Had to go down physically to the reception to seek assistance and met with an arrogant staff named Naqash (male), according to him the aircon issue started the night before we checked in, and the maintenance team are up in the roof fixing the aircon; I then queried if the room already had issue with the aircon then why did they assign me the room?
He then changed his mind and said my room is not in the affected list (?) then he offered to show me the list of rooms that some are highlighted in RED and some are in GREEN, he then arrogantly pointing out my room in the list is showing Green, according to him, that means my room is not affected when they assigned me the room…..I then verified with him when the issue started, this time he said a week ago, then he offered me a stand fan!!
I declined and insisted someone to check my room, and fix the aircond, he arrogantly replied that’s the maintenance team’s job and according to him, they are in the roof fixing the problem.
I further clarify that if my room is not affected and it’s not highlighted in RED in his list, then why is the aircon not functioning? Can he get maintenance to check?? He just offered me a stand fan and food hoping I’ll accept, when I declined, he then questioned me what do I want him to do!?
Wow, was I making his life difficult ??? seems like he didn’t get the point, I just want my room aircond to be working, do I fully paid the hotel much in advance before I check in and to receive a broken room upon check in???!!?
He was so arrogant and unable to resolve the issue that I had to demand for a higher authority to help resolve the problem! Wasted so much of our time and what an awful experience!
Compliment goes to Mr. Geoff who was the duty manager and he was really working hard trying his best to resolve the issue although we had to compromise a little, and by the time, it was already almost 9pm…. but we appreciate his gesture and the effort. Thanks again Geoff and thumbs up to you!
