Chateau Hotel Edward 1er

I enjoyed my one-night stay at this lovely hotel on the edge of town. Unfortunately for me, it was the one night that their restaurant is closed so I missed what I hear is some good dining. Also, it rained on and off that day so I couldn't use the pool. Aside from that, it was an easy check-in with a young man who thankfully for me spoke English as my French is still pretty limited. There was a mild problem with the heat in my room at first but they got that fixed pretty quickly and all the rest was great (though the lighting at the sink makes shaving a bit difficult). Overall, I'd recommend it when visiting the area and the little town has a few other restaurants to choose from as well if you also happen to stay here on a Wednesday night.

Beautiful hotel, superb staff, great restaurant - what else do you need in a stunning town. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Such a lovely small-chateau hotel. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The restaurant is very high quality and serves delicious meals. There’s a lovely pool area and the hotel is in a quiet street within a minutes walking distance. For the price, the hotel and restaurant provides excellent value for money. We stayed here for two nights but wish it could’ve been longer - we’ll return!

We were so impressed with the attention to detail in this hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, impeccable service and a well appointed room. We shall return.

A true gem - boutique, clean, friendly - definitely a place looking to go further - amazing value and comfort and brilliant attentive staff. Amazing food and a sumptuous breakfast. A very pleasant and friendly owner - I would highly recommend for a stay.

I am so glad I found this magnificent hotel, located in one of the most beautiful villages in France. The entire staff is very friendly and incredibly professional. They will go out of their way to provide you with the best recommendations of what to do in the area. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding.

Hidden gem in Dordogne. Beautiful Chateau hotel located in the middle of the old medieval town, friendly staff satisfying all your needs and more, poll with a chill out area and restaurant, good breakfast and nice old medieval town worth seeing. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble which was so lovely. We arrived around 11.30 not expecting to be able to check in but as soon as the room was ready we were told and able to check in hours early. The views are beautiful and the hotel is full of character. We also dined at the restaurant for one evening and it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent customer service. I can’t fault this place at all. Only 1 factor, they charged us breakfast for 4 days, when in fact, we only had breakfast the first day. Apart from that all excellent, worth the money and the restaurant was indeed Michelin star standard! Remarquable! We will definitely be back next year.
