Casas Da Lapa, Nature & Spa Hotel

Beautiful! Serene! Welcoming! Relaxing! Delicious! These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think about staying at Casas Da Lapa. We booked for one night while visiting Serra da Estrela Park and after visiting wish we had planned for an additional night or two because it was an extraordinary experience. The accommodations are of a modern-minimalist design but luxurious. The food for dinner and breakfast was bountiful and tasty. Highly recommend!

Our experience at Casas da Lapa, Nature & Spa Hotel was underwhelming, especially considering the price point. The organization was poor, making it difficult to enjoy what was meant to be a relaxing getaway. Contacting the reception was a constant challenge, with long wait times and, at times, no response at all. Additionally, there were conflicting pieces of information regarding the use of the hotel’s facilities, which created unnecessary confusion. The extra beds provided were extremely uncomfortable, making it almost impossible to rest properly. For a hotel positioning itself as a luxury retreat, such basic shortcomings are unacceptable. While the setting is undoubtedly beautiful, the overall lack of attention to detail and subpar service quality left us disappointed. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the cost, and we wouldn’t recommend this property to others seeking a premium hospitality experience.

It's such a pleasure to rate this extraordinary place where we stayed for 3 nights . The room itself was immaculate and super comfortable. The facilities are in great standard, very well equipped and pleasant I had a back injury and hence was mostly stranded in the room , the owner Maria-Manuel has personally taken me to the hospital and took great care of me during the process including helping me get medications, and the staff bringing food to the room and taking care of all our needs in a very gentle kind and friendly manner. Later when we looked for an easily accessible shower the owner upgraded us to a wonderful suite that has an accessible shower and a beautiful view. I couldn't even dream of such a caring and compassionate service🏆 The staff was super accommodating and friendly and the rest of the amenities were gorgeous In spite of our circumstances we genuinely enjoyed this hotel's extraordinary hospitality and warmth. 🥂 The food was fine and exquisite The hotel has a library , relaxation rooms and many special well-thought facilities. We highly recommend Thank you !

We (family of four, one 10, one 12 year old) stayed 2 nights at Casas Da Lapa in April 2023. The Hotel is located in a beautiful part of the Sierra da Estrella region, and located in a tiny village clinging to the hillside. We had a very nice, warm welcome, and the Hotel itself is very well appointed. Our room was excellent, very cosy and comfortable and we were given drinks and chocolates on arrival. The Hotel is very well appointed, clean, comfortable and comes with outdoor pools (2) which in the summer would be terrific but in April were a bit too cold even for British tourists, and a small indoor pool (which you have to book in advance a slot to use, which we found a bit strange and restrictive, but it was what it was). There is also a cinema (which we never saw being used), a lounge, reading room, dining room and lots of Spa treatments we didn't use. On reflection we think the Hotel probably caters best for older tourists who will take advantage of the cinema, reading rooms, etc and who appreciate quietness and calm. Having two young kids wanting to race around and jump in pools probably didn't quite fit in to the surroundings. Having said all that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time, staff were friendly and helpful, the local loop walk was superb, and the dinner and breakfasts were fantastic. Thank you very much to the owners and staff for a very good stay. (one small tip for the Hotel - in the room it would have been great to have more hooks to hang towels and bath robes on. After a swim we had 4 wet towels, and 4 wet bath robes which we ended up having to loop around the stair rail)

Excellent hotel, with good location. Close to many attractions in the area - we spent one day at Piodao. The rooms are big, clean, well equipped and maintained, as all the hotel in general. Food is great, nice spa and facilities, and above all incredible staff!!!! Great experience and very recommended

Wonderful place. I needed a rest and certainly I got a delightful one in this place. The sound of the water running, the sound of birds in an exquisite environment. Local products turned into tasty meals. Friendly employees always ready to make an unforgettable stay. Really relaxed massagem program. To come back for!
