Visit to Carthouse as my partner was working and we needed somewhere close by to stay for a few nights! This cottage could be really lovely if it was clean! When we arrived the first thing I noticed was cobwebs and bugs! There was cobwebs everywhere, in every room! Alot of dead flies in window sills and on carpets also some flying around, with other various bugs such as woodlouces crawling around. I understand that it's the countryside and that there will be bugs and cobwebs but there was ALOT and this had definitely not been cleaned before we had a arrived. Behind the wardrobes and under the sofas were discussing! The kitchen was ok, cobwebs in the oven!! There was slot of dust and general dirt around. On the plus side this cottage is in the middle of a beautiful countryside, with beautiful views. A lovely pub close by called the Dial inn, the food there was amazing!! Some really beautiful beaches close by that we enjoyed visiting!

Unusual room allocated to us. The end of what looked like a converted barn. The Queen size bed was in a recess and not good if you are claustrophobic. Steep ladder steps to a small area that had the TV and 2 small chairs. The bathroom was very cold and the shower simply drained away into a drain on bathroom floor. Tiny kitchen area. There are other units there that are bigger and more accessible for the lesser able. The owner was very welcoming. The surrounding area was extremely pretty and quiet

We booked a 'Romantic Studio' through 'buy a gift'. When we arrived we were told we were in "the cwtch', which was a tiny space. The owner offered us an upgrade to 'the cart house' at a cost £50, which we gladly accepted. This made our stay in Pembrokeshire very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. There were creepy crawlies around, but that as to be expected along with the lovely birdsong and County views. The walled garden was a real treat. The kitchen was well equipped. The hob could have been cleaner, and many windows and doors need maintenance.

Good value for money, clean and quiet, plenty of parking. Jane & Jon are very attractive but not intrusive. Would certainly stay again but longer than the 4 nights, we're just getting into it. There is lots to do in the area, but you would need a car.

This place is filthy and disgusting!!!! The mattress was very poor quality and the quilts were thin and badly stained. As for cleanliness of the place, it was unclean and grubby. The dishwasher was smelling, the washing machine had mould in the conditioner compartment. There were cobwebs everywhere.The bath panel was broken and had sharp edges on the corner of the breakage. I could go on , but to put it bluntly, this was the worst place we have stayed and would NOT come back. Awful
