호텔 루랄 & 스파 마스 프랫(Hotel Rural & Spa Mas Prat)

It might not be a five star Hilton hotel, but if you want that, you have to book a five star Hilton and not the most cozy and lively little place in the area. The views are amazing, the pool is really nice, the food is good (locally farmed cows) and the owners do everything in their power to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

This inn is located in a very tranquil area up about 5 km on a mountain road. The views from the deck and rooms are stunning. Mountains, pastures and a view all the way to the coast of Spain on a sunny day. Our meals (dinner and breakfast) were delicious. The dinner dishes were beautiful to look at and good to eat. Breakfast offerings were so plentiful and we could have also had eggs! The owners are lovely and welcoming. Try to stay at least two or 3 days to enjoy the tranquility and area.

We were looking for a base camp to tour around the beautiful Garrotxa region and its Medieval villages (Beget, Rupit, Besalú, Castelfollit de la Roca, etc.) and we found this place not through the usual websites but on Google Maps. Lucky us. And lucky our dogs too (they welcome well-behaved dogs for a small fee and they are free to roam around except on the dining areas; ours ended up good friends with their's, the gorgeous Pellut). Our stay was nothing short of wonderful. This mountain lodge is situated on a terrenal paradise situation, overlooking the Bianya Valley range, where sunrises are to die for. The infinite pool was too cold to use in winter, but it added a magical mirror effect to the terrace. Two horses grazed in the park, adding to the picturesque effect. Room heating was excellent and water pressure also, the latter not all that common among mountain lodges. Cleanliness was great too. But asides from the natural peace and beautiful surroundings, two things make it stand out: one, the food, which wouldn't pale in comparison to any great city restaurant (and based on proximity/eco ingredients). Breakfast invites to loosen your belt a couple notches, and dinner is just awesome. There are many options to choose from, but the Granny-style free range chicken, the vegetable terrine and the carpaccio of Garrotxa veal were something to write home about. And the other factor that makes this place special, obviously the most important one, is the attitude and charm of the owners/managers, Roser and Héctor, who love what they do, making each guest feel at home from the very moment they step foot on the property. I guess the word "care" is what describes them best: they care for the visitors, care for the property, care for the food and care for the environment. If you want to disconnect while not giving up comfort and really feel welcome, this is your place.

Our hosts were incredibly friendly, the room was very comfortable, and the food was amazing. Food and spa were definitely highlights. If you're wanting to travel near Girona, you should seriously consider staying here.

Amazing location with a grounded and uncomplicated feel. Kids, dogs, relaxed guests and good food in one big pleasant and rare harmony. A tiny and true family run hotel.

Las vistas a la Vall de Biayna son preciosas, desde todas las habitaciones. El trato personalizado es muy de agradecer. El restaurante ofrece un menú de calidad y carta de vinos, aunque su precio es un tanto elevado. Otras actividades, aparte de las rutas de senderismo que se ofrecen en el entorno rural del hotel, son el spa, con sauna finlandesa y piscinas de agua fría y caliente y jacuzzi. Espacio íntimo y relajante para el que hay que solicitar hora previamente ( se entra en pareja o en grupos familiares reducidos). Dispone de piscina preciosa con vistas al valle, y numerosos sofás y tumbonas en el césped donde tomar el sol o descansar en verano. Muy recomendable para desonectar y relaj**** por el encanto rural de la Garrotxa.
