Auberge de Jeunesse HI Serre-Chevalier

If I’m honest I would rather stay in a homeless shelter there was no electricity in the bathroom the plugs didn’t work and the bathroom smelt like something had died in the I physically couldn’t eat the food it smelt that horrendous and looked like sick the staff did not clean the room as I was told they would the games room is good if you like mould the bed sheets had holes in aswell . I did not think it was a big deal but the WiFi also didn’t work but advertised as working .Towels are not provided so you will have to bring your own . The owner is also not keen on food or n the rooms so be aware.a positive of this place is the location it’s very near to the village and the cable car up to villenvenue if you still want to stay here I recommend bringing your own bed sheets and your own cleaning supplies and noise cancelling headphones as the walls are very thin .

I stayed for two nights at the youth hostel and all the 5 staff members I met were absolutely amazing - friendly, helpful, informative. They helped me with charging my phone when I lost my belongings, catching the bus to Grenoble, and advised me on how to have the best snowboarding experience. I'd go back if i could!

Great staff and ambience! Also, the hostel is right next to the slopes. It is easily accessible with bus.

Super accueil par Victor et Hélène, très réactifs et conciliants pour accueillir notre groupe de 50 élèves. Cerise sur le gâteau, la nourriture est excellente, on n'est plus dans la restauration collective, on est comme au restaurant. Je recommande !

Très bonne auberge que ce soit en famille ou en groupe. Repas variés et de très bonne qualité. Chambre simple mais efficace et propre. Idéalement situé au pied des pistes qui desservent l'ensemble du domaine. Personnel très agréable et réactif.

Séjour agréable. Les chambres sont propres et suffisamment confortables pour quelques nuits. La partie restauration est top et le personnel aimable et agréable. Il aurait juste manqué selon moi des activités le soir afin de découvrir les autres résidents.
