Gite Ancien Relais de Saint-Jacques

My daughter and I chose Gite Ancien Relais de Saint-Jacques because it is 15 mins drive from Giverny. What a beautiful ground floor apartment with lots of character and French charm. Very easy to find and we parked outside in the quiet street. Even though it's right in the middle of the village it's really quiet. The quaint village has a few restaurants and shops and an imposing castle. We were welcomed by Christine who keeps the apartments spotlessly clean. Everything is in there that you might need. The large double bed is super comfy for 2 adults. There's a sofa bed in the lounge/ diner area but we left that as a sota. Dining table and 4 chairs, tv, plenty of space and light and a nice ambiance. We cooked in the kitchen on the electric 4 plate hob with all cooking utensils provided. fridge resette, misterave Everythines, you want including teas and coffee. Nice walk-in corner shower in bathroom and plenty of towels, also soap and hairdryer. There's also a private courtyard where you could enjoy sitting out and we enjoyed walking through the lovely garden. It's very traditionally French. We stayed for 2 nights but I would have liked an extra night. It's nice just to wander round the area and walk along the Seine. I'm told that the village is popular at the weekends but it was just right during the week. 10/10 and an extra star for Christine.
