After a week of hiking in the Alps, arriving at Hotel des Princes was simply fabulous. Welcoming staff, comfortable room, attention to details like sheets and towels, fantastic breakfast! We would have settled for less for the price, but instead we got much more. Also, great neighborhood full of restaurants, cafes, and historic sights.

Clean and comfortable hotel, centrally placed and close to all amenities. A short distance from the railway station, either on foot or an inexpensive taxi ride. All staff were pleasant, polite and welcoming. Due to a booking mix-up at my end, our booked room was not available but they quickly found another. Staff were also helpful with things like suggesting places to eat and booking a morning taxi for us. Easy to find - look for the elephants!

We had just one night to stay in Chambery, and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the town centre and the railway station. We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived at the hotel over 2 hours before we were due to check in. The receptionist was very welcoming, and indeed all the staff were very pleasant during our stay. Upon arrival, we were about to enquire as to whether we could leave our luggage there before later returning to check in, but receptionist said she would check to see if the room was available - and it was. We really appreciated this generous gesture. The room was quaint, and I imagine it would be really lovely to stay there in mid-winter, as it really felt like a ski chalet. The bedroom itself wasn't large, but it was perfectly adequate for our needs, and we liked that the door to our bathroom didn't open directly into the bedroom, but was off a little lobby area. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful! All in all, we thought the Hotel des Princes represented tremendous value for money. One little thing - *********** emailed me a few days in advance of our visit to Chambery, to tell me my credit card had been declined. I was shocked, as I'd booked other stays on that site with the same card - which was actually a VISA debit card. I emailed the Hotel des Princes and explained the situation, and they replied confirming my booking.

This hotel is ok. It is well located and offers a good quality breakfast. However, the wifi is patchy and some of the rooms are very 1980’s in decor ( brown and lime green!). We were given one of these on the 3rd floor and so requested a move to a more modern room. This could only be facilitated for 2 of our 3 night stay. The modernised rooms are nice. No minibar though. If you are staying for just a night or so and want a central hotel then it’s a good choice but it doesn’t offer anything else much. The public areas are a bit small and cramped which lead to some issues at breakfast with everyone trying to get to the food!

This hotel is right in the center of this lovely town. It is modern and clean with very friendly, helpful staff, and being on a pedestrian only street, very quiet. Our room was very comfortable, and bright with great black out curtains. Breakfast is available from 6:30 am - 11:00 am, so you can sleep in if you want to. The breakfast bar has everything you could want, including delicious coffee, fresh fruit, eggs and meats, oatmeal and much else. We really look forward to a return visit.

We had a triple room which was perfect for our one night in Chambery. Although the room was small it had everything we needed. Room was clean, quiet and beds were comfortable. Location of hotel is perfect for walking around Chambery to see all the sights. And parking was easy (at a cost). Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Ticked all our boxes. Freindly staff. Smart, well-eqipped, clean bedrooms. Comfortable bed, with crisp sheets. Well appointed bathroom, lots of hot water, shower with power. Fast wifi, easy parking nearby. Fantastic location. Didnt stop for breakfast, so cant comment. Will stay again.
