Beautiful hotel with tons of space outside in quiet corners. Accommodations were stellar. Bath was not accessible. Staff was terrific from the welcome to the au revoir.

Very impressed with the hotel, super room, comfortable, high quality decor and bathroom. The evening meal was excellent (in-house chef knows his or her stuff), as was the breakfast. Service and staff were very reactive and professional. Great place to stay in the region.

This hotel represented good value during our trip to France, better than most, and with a restaurant experience that rivalled many in larger towns. The setting is great, room was excellent, and the restaurant selection and quality was a highlight - superb food, service and attention to detail.

We chose the hotel from the Logis site A 1 night stay on the return leg of our holiday. The hotel opened in 1899 and still has character and charm. Our room was a junior suite which was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant was superb. Highly recommended

The staff were very friendly and did their best to speak English with us. The hotel is extremely charming and pretty. Our room was small but tasteful. A lovely view of the courtyard below. Definitely needed more closet or drawer space, however. The bathroom was overall clean and adequate, but it was older and needed to be updated or renovated-- no counter space at all. A little moldy/gunky grout in the shower area. The most difficult thing about this hotel is the number of stairs/doors through which you have to navigate to get up to your room if you are not on the ground floor. Lugging suitcases up the staircase was not a great start to the stay. The town itself is quaint and quiet and worth exploring.

A delightful and well maintained building of historical importance

We chose to stay in Mortagne-au-Perche on our way to Paris from Mont-Saint-Michel (it's roughly half way between the two). The Hotel Tribunal proved to be an excellent and relaxing place for a one-night stay. Free parking was available out front in a tree-lined square. Once we entered the hotel, the staff was very attentive and friendly. When we made the reservation for our stay I opted for a Chambre Privilege (a bargain at 125 euros). The room was spacious with two easy chairs, a coffee table, and French doors leading to a garden. When we entered the garden, we noticed that the bench nearest our room was reserved for our room number (before dinner, we enjoyed a glass of wine in the garden). Dinner at the hotel restaurant was equally excellent.

This hotel is full of character, it’s clean, well located, friendly and bike friendly. We are at the restaurant and experienced a real treat with creative dishes for four adults with varied tastes. One couple at breakfast and they declared it was their best ever experience - everything bio and local. The other couple ventured to the market to buy their breakfast and they loved the exp. Highly recommend Hotel Tribunal!
