엘 팔라우에트 데 라 무라야

We were only in the area for one night...traveling through on our way to Barcelona. This looked like a unique place to stay so we booked it. We ended up having to change our reservation date at the last minute and management was very easy to work with and accommodated our request. This is a gorgeous, very old mansion with a deep and interesting history. The owners have gone to great lengths to restore it in grand style. The common rooms are so lovely and I was amazed that we could stroll around the home at our leisure and enjoy the grand salon, library and dining room. Our room was upstairs (no lift) and was large, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was so lovely and more than we needed. The staff checking us in did not speak english but they were able to get management on the phone (who did speak very good english) and we managed to easily get checked in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful--even to the point of helping us track down the parking attendant that gave us a parking ticket as we were checking in. If you park in the square while checking in, make sure to buy the 3euro parking pass. We weren't familiar with the area but it did not seem to be a very tourist area--not a lot of restaurants within walking distance and we weren't sure how safe the area was to walk around in the evening. For an extra charge, we were able to park in their garage overnight which was very convenient. All in all it was a great experience.

We absolutely loved this place! Rarely do you have the opportunity to stay in such a residence. Breakfast was excellent every morning and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The reviews that complain about it being old and not having television in the room completely mss the point of choosing to stay in a lovely piece of history instead of a generic chain motel. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

Las imágenes de la web no son la realidad de las habitaciones que se ofrecen. La estancia no ha sido satisfactoria. Falta de atención. No hay personal. Falta ambiente confortable. Lamentablemente la zona tampoco es tranquila ni transmite seguridad.

Bonita casa señorial, muy bien situada en el centro antiguo de Balaguer. Pocas habitaciones, la nuestra en el 2 piso, sin facilidades de acceso para personas con movilidad reducida (imagino por problemas de permisos o por falta de espacio). Habitación amplia, con cama cómoda, bañera y plato de ducha, aire acondicionado frío y calor. Desayuno, en el primer piso, muy correcto. Facilidad de aparcamiento por los alrededores. La persona responsable del funcionamiento del establecimiento ha sido servicial y amable. Atendiendo el precio he encontrado a faltar agua de cortesía en la habitación, amenities en el baño, mejor cierre de las ventanas y dejadez en alguna toalla que presentaba algún agujero. También la falta de televisor en la habitación pero podría estar en línea de la filosofía del lugar. A pesar de todo una opción correcta en el centro de Balaguer.

Alojarse en Lo palauet de la muralla es como viajar al pasado del siglo XVI con todas las comodidades del siglo XXI. Sin duda alguna de las mejores estancias que hemos hecho. La suit Serra Montsec , una acogedora habitación con baño completo remodelado con estilo rústico -industrial y amplia terraza con vistas al río Segre. Pero si tenemos que resaltar algo es el trato cercano del personal, que te hacen sentir como en tu casa. El desayuno es preparado con mimo y con multitud de opciones.

Excelentemente ubicado en pleno centro de Balaguer, se encuentra este magnifico palacete del siglo XVI en el que regresas a épocas antiguas y te hacen respirar el aroma de otros tiempos. Una decoración antigua aunque algunos elementos sean de épocas más recientes y unas suites muy logradas con una atmósfera que combina lo clásico y lo moderno. Cuentan algunas de ellas con una amplia terraza con vistas al río Segre. No hay televisión que, en mi caso, fue de agradecer. Los salones son preciosos y el lugar del desayuno junto a una cocina (moderna) provocan una estancia muy agradable. Estando prácticamente solo en el Palacete, sentí un regreso al pasado muy romántico y acogedor. Será, en un futuro, mi primera opción para cuando tenga que pernoctar en Balaguer o alrededores.
