From the moment we were picked up from the airport, it was a wonderful time at Harbour Village. The staff was attentive and detailed. Food was delicious and the bartenders and wait staff were so friendly and professional. The facilities are perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The dive shop was extremely impressive with top notch instructors, namely Kristopher, he was such an excellent instructor. He truly made my first dive experience an awesome one. We first stayed at Harbour Village Beach Club in Bonaire in 1992 and have returned several times over the years. Although we generally prefer to explore new destinations instead of revisiting places, Harbour Village has been the one exception. Additionally, when visiting other tropical destinations, we frequently compare those properties to Harbour Village. Yes, it’s that special of a place! Indeed, it has retained its uniqueness and charm from our initial stay in 1992, while also incorporating ongoing updates and continued refinements. Harbour Village is simply one of the finest boutique properties in the Caribbean and is, in our opinion, the only 5-Star resort on Bonaire. This location provides an ideal blend of attractive architecture, meticulously maintained grounds, and a pristine private beach, offering excellent opportunities for swimming, diving, and paddle sports. This serene and tranquil location allows the opportunity to witness stunning sunsets in the evenings, which can then be followed by an exquisite dinner at La Balandra. Additionally, you may opt for a pleasant walk or a short drive into town where various other dining establishments are available. However, during a typical two week stay, we often find ourselves dinning at La Balandra more than half the time. We also highly recommend booking a private, torch lit dinner on the beach. Memorable experiences at any given property are greatly influenced by the staff, and at Harbour Village Beach Club, they provide exceptional service. The staff is notably attentive and friendly, arguably offering the best hospitality on the island and perhaps in the entire Caribbean. From the highly engaged owners to the manager, Jorge Ceballos, the leadership team at the property has assembled an exceptional group of professionals: Steffi Leon, Reservations Manager; Sytze, Ximena, and Katie at the front desk/concierge; Janet Hoediono, the new and highly skilled executive chef; and servers Claudia, Raysa, Alexandra, Guesela and Naphtaly at La Balandra Restaurant; Additionally, the housekeeping, groundskeeping, and service staff contribute significantly to the property's operations, along with Pepi and his team at Great Adventures. Unfortunately, the names of other exceptional staff members have not been included, but we plan to mention them on our next visit, which is currently being planned… We eagerly anticipate our next stay at Harbour Village Beach Club and reconnecting with everyone there very soon.

Our family had a great overall experience at Harbour Village Resort. We dive certified on site (see my separate review of Great Adventures dive shop) and could not have had a better experience—so that really was a bonus. You could not find a more convenient resort to dive from. Each morning we walked less than 5 minutes to breakfast then less than 5 minutes to the dive shop. The resort also has its own harbour and dive boats. The beach has plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks (NEVER had to fight for a spot even on New Year’s week). The restaurant—La Balandra—has good food 4/5 stars, but 5/5 atmosphere. It is shaped like a wooden boat and all the seats are close to the water. You can watch the sunset, the boats come and go, and look at all the fish swimming in the turquoise waters right next to you. Our beach view suite was comfortable. Somewhat dated, but had everything we needed. I would give the room 4/5 stars overall. However, during our stay we had an issue with our room that required us to move. This is where the customer service of Harbour Village really stood out—special shout out to Sytze and Jorge! They were fully booked in their regular rooms since it was New Year’s week, but the management moved our family into two brand new apartments on the property that had not been used. They really went out of their way to make up for the issue in the room. Of course, we were no longer beachside so we were properly discounted for the inconvenience and location which I found to be satisfactory. Things happen and life isn’t perfect, but the way the staff took care of us in this situation is what really stood out to me. I would definitely recommend Harbour Village to anyone visiting Bonaire.

Well done! From entry to exit, this place takes very good care of you. They want to make sure your stay the best it could possibly be. A lot of credit goes to the front line people working at the front desk. They listen well and make sure that they do everything they possibly can to make your stay first rate. A+

It is hard to know where to begin but the location, facilities, staff, attention to every detail is outstanding at Harbour Village Beach Club! We only left the resort for a little trip to the grocery and to rent a boat which was next door. Everyone was friendly and made our visit very special. The PADI 5 Star shop was awesome. I was able to complete a couple of Specialty Certifications with Luis Fonseca (the best instructor ever) to complete my Master Scuba Diver requirements. I also did a night and numerous day trip dives with the team of dive professionals. Everyone was great! My wife who is not a diver loved the opportunity to snorkel in the lagoon. The restaurant was excellent at every meal. We have had a opportunity to visit some very nice resorts in the past which sets our bar very high but Harbour Village met or exceeded every expectation! If you are going to Bonaire, this is the best place on the island.

This beach club is one of a kind. Every time we visit, our family feels like we stepped into a slice of paradise. From the private beach—with amazing snorkeling—to the fantastic food at La Balandra, this boutique beach club sets itself apart from all others in Bonaire. Staff is extremely helpful and the crew at the dive shop has everything you need to capitalize on all that Bonaire has to offer. Bottom line: this is a first class resort that delivers an unforgettable experience.
