This may be a long review so strap in lol, I booked this holiday for me and my family over a year ago, we booked for 15th of June to 22nd and as the holiday got closer I payed more and more attention to the Tripadvisor reviews which were very mixed and lots of 1* reviews with people saying things like “my kids were asking me to go home” “the rooms are dated” “this is not a 4* hotel” and how the hotel needs a good refurb, how any one staying here could say that this hotel does not look 4* is beyond me, the grounds are stunning literally everywhere you walk looks so well kept (barring the areas by the beach, tennis court etc) colourful flowers every corner, palm trees galore and very Greek feel to it. The animation team are very involved and always make my two kids feel involved, always something going on from morning right the way through till late evening at the disco, whatever these guys are paid it isn’t enough! Food was extremely varied and loads of it, I’d agree that the dinner meals weren’t as good as the lunch one that’s open by the pool with pizzas etc, but you can have pizza and bits at dinner time if you book early in the day. Drinks were also good if you like beer, fizzy drinks and breakfast juice, cocktails were ok but didn’t really have enough to say how good/bad they were. Pools … amazing! Very clean not like other people have said and slides were really fun, also the absolute carnage people are making trying to find a sunbed out to be is not true either, plenty of the and if there were anymore which people on here have asked for it would be extremely cramped and no one would be able to move around the pool areas! Rooms, yeah pretty dated but it’s a room for sleeping in not staying in everyday and inspections every corner with a magnifying glass, it could do with being updated but it works, only little complaint I had was that the bathroom was very dimly lit and there was no light over the bath/shower so bathing little ones was pretty difficult due to not being able to see much, but is what it is. (We had a maisonette room with upstairs room) ants in room was not really an issue, yeah we saw some and had a few bites but as hotel is set in a very lush a vibrant area you expect that tbh. All staff I came across were nice and polite and always happy to help with questions, the animation team as I said were great, really really high energy individuals who just want your kids to have the best time. As this is a resort it is obviously a massive places with lots of areas to it, the parts near the beach like the tennis courts and basketball court etc could deffo do with hosting/fixing but genuinely apart from that I see no areas that needed updating it really is a beautiful place with so much to offer and I have no idea why this places isn’t getting the reviews it deserves, my kids were so sad to leave this place, we spent most of our week here only venturing out into kos town for a few hours on one of the days and didn’t go anywhere
