Sweet Kalimera, is lovely in the fact there are only 14 rooms, so no real noise from other visitors. The rooms are dated (I understand they are slowly being updated ) but very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and again very clean, if I had to say one thing it would be the bathroom and the shower, or should I say the shower hose over the bath, the temperature was very temperamental and sometimes took minute adjustments to go from freezing cold to boiling hot, to just right! We also managed to flood the bathroom every night despite trying different positions of the hose, we finally realised that the bottom of the bath had some cracks which of course the water seeped through onto the floor. Mr George, his daughter, and son in law Marius are always on hand if you need anything or have a problem. You do have to pay for the air conditioning, but you are able to see if you need it, if you don’t you don’t pay, if you do you can pay at the end of your stay and you don’t pay for the first night if like us you arrive in the evening. The snack bar is lovely serving a variety of different foods from waffles to baguettes and salads. It also served most alcoholic beverages as well as a range of coffees. The pool, argh the pool, for me the pool was the highlight, large and again meticulously clean as was the pool area with plenty of sunbeds. We didn’t venture to the adjoining beach as it was rather small and the loungers really needed some tlc. Sweet Kalimera is a fair walk into town if you don’t have a car, we saw lots of people walking but bear in mind the road is fairly narrow, not very well lit and some steep drop offs where some erosion has taken place. Places we liked to eat. Banana Beach, run by a British couple every type and combination of breakfast you could ever want, Yo Yo’s, also does lovely breakfasts but lunches are the best. If you like football Yannis has all the major matches on two large tv’s, and occasionally live music. Anna’s, family run with a huge menu to suit all palettes. Chris’s again a wide variety of dishes on offer and reasonably priced, Sunbeams, right on the waters edge offering a higher end menu so slightly more pricey but a lovely atmosphere and again live music on select nights. We will be back in 2027 as it is our happy place

We stayed as a couple for 8 nights in June 2025. All of the staff are really welcoming and helpful. Our flight from Gatwick was due in quite late and it was delayed so we got to Kos after midnight. Mr George, the owner, very kindly stayed up and checked us in. Marios and all the other staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Marios even gave us a lift into Kardemana when we missed the bus. The whole complex was spotlesslessly clean. Room was cleaned every day and towels every few days. Lovely sea view from the balcony. Pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds. Coffee making facilities and a fridge were in the apartment which was a god send. A/C is payable locally but only 5euros a day. Honestly, we couldn't fault it and we will be returning in June next year.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay .Marios , Mr George and Tonia were amazing hosts. The young man who works in the restaurant is very friendly. The pool is amazing and the sunbeds are also great and free and rarely busy. You feel you have the place to yourself sometimes. The snack bar is really nice for drinks and toasties , salads, bagels etc. My son's favourite was waffles with Nutella which he had everyday. 10/10 he said. Apartments are clean and tidy with mosquito nets on doors etc which was brilliant. Only slight issue would be the dated shower left water all over the bathroom when used. Aircon is a must in summer . Only 14 apartments meant it was a real relaxing place. There was a supermarket about 200 metres up the road. A regular bus service goes from the stop outside the next door hotel into Kardemena and back via the Mitsis hotels. Overall we loved our stay and would return.

I think it was our 4th stay. If you want peace, don't mind getting a car or using the good bus or taxi service, you can't get better. Pool is beautiful, owners are accommodating. Why else would we go back so many times?? Thanks marios, Sonja and Mr George. We appreciate your hospitality.❤️

We stayed in SWEET KALIMERA from 22 to 29 August. We you arrive you feel immediately at home: rooms are really confortable, balcony and perfect cleaness every two days! Wonderful pool and bar, wonderful breakfast even if a bit late ( 10). The location Is perfect because Is Just in front of the beach and at 5 minutes from Kardamena by car and It Is very quiet. Pur special thank you to Mr George and Marios for their politeness.

Great location, lovely and friendly staff (Marios on top). Our apartment was roomy and clean! Super pool, but the sea is better! Free parking, bar by the pool with nice beer. Very helpful suggestions for places to visit. Thank you! Hope to visit you again…
