The Komodo Resort has many advantages. It is only a 40 minute boat ride from Labuan Bajo which is the airport that services Komodo. It is a nice property. The houses are spacious and come equipped with world class views, if a bit dated. The food is good. The staff is really interested in seeing you have the best vacation possible. There are some peculiarities, the menu did not always match the dish, people would have dishes that were not on the menu. The outings were worthwhile. The price is reasonable. What is the problem? We are snorkelers and when I called the reservation line, they stated that two trips a day were available for snorkelers with the dive boats. This turned out to be untrue. They do have a superb house reef with healthy coral and untold numbers of fish. We saw turtles, eagle rays, sharks. You needed to enter from the pier as there was no swimming from the beach in order to protect the coral. Typically one would ask the security person at the pier for a ride and get on a zodiac for a 3 minute ride against the current, so your snorkel is always with the current. A truly great set-up. Here's the catch...we repeatedly asked the people at the dive shop, Neptune Dive to go somewhere else. We were there 7 days. They never got back to us. I theorize that they make more money on divers and don't want to lose those spaces. Still, there were 6 possible trips we could have gone on (we took an all day tour on one day) and they didn't offer a one. This also happened to another couple that we commiserated with. All told, the house reel meant that we were able to snorkel at our pace whenever we wanted in a pristine environment with world class conditions....still it would have been nice to see another reef.

This resort is beautiful and very relaxing. Me and my family visited recently just for the bar for the sunset and explored all there was to offer, the spa seems like a luxury addition and the bar area was lovely on the beach with great cocktails. We met the owner and he was super informative and kind! We are definitely looking into going to this resort in the future!

Spent 8D/7N with Komodo Sea Dragon liveboard. My best liveboard experience ever had. Diving in Komodo is very impressive as well as great fun. Appreciate the cruise manager & our dive guide Jello and all crew members' efforts to bring us an unforgettable journey.

All the crews on Sea Dragon are professional , warm-hearted and passionate, providing us the top notch service🤙🤙🤙Special shoutout to Jello, the Cruise director and also our dive guide - he makes sure everything goes smoothly both on the cruise and under the water👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Would definitely recommend to everyone who wants a hassle free, safe and wonderful diving holiday in Komodo!

Great base to explore the Komodo national park. The resort is beautiful and the snorkelling on the home reef is spectacular. The day tour to see the dragons, pink beach, padar and snorkelling was perfect. The staff at the resort are incredibly kind and helpful, with a shout out to Elen for her friendliness that made me feel comfortable and well looked after :)

This is my first time on the Komodo sea dragon boat for 7 days. It was an amazing experience. All staffs on boat are friendly, professional, and polite. Food, damn good, I missed it so much. Cabin is very clean and tidy. Room is big and bed is comfortable. Bathroom works well too. The most important is the diving arrangement, they did it very well. The schedule planning is perfect, the briefings are clear, guide ares caring and professional. I don’t feel any dangerous during my 16 dives. I highly recommend to take your vacation on Sea Dragon Boat!
