라 보헤머 바요 - 호스텔

I spent two nights in La Boheme Bajo. This is a great place for solo travellers willing to discover Komodo and Rinca islands. The hostel is ideally located. The staff is very friendly. They even arranged transportation to the airport for me. Breakfast is included, and the hostel features a ping pong table, a billiards table, and plenty of seating areas for chatting with other travelers. The atmosphere is wonderful! I highly recommend it.

La Boheme Bajo is a fantastic place to stay. It is a long time since my backpacking days and this was our first backpacking trip with our teenage kids and La Boheme Bajo gets top marks from us all. The facilities are fabulous - pool table, ping pong table, hammocks, bean bags, day bed . . . there is a bar and a restaurant. The food is very well priced and of excellent quality. I am so impressed that a hostel could serve such good food and such a wide variety, from local food to very good pizzas, burgers, pasta etc. Between us all, we sampled a lot of the menu and we all loved it! Because of the design of the hostel (it is a U shape and open in the middle), you are inside the hostel but outside . . . The hostel is very uniquely built, with most of the timber recycled from old boats. The bathrooms and communal areas were constantly being cleaned by the friendly staff. With the rubbish problems in Indonesia, it was great to be able to fill up your water bottle with the water provided by the hostel and also drinks were all served with reusable straws. Thanks for a great stay!

This hostel is really convenient with a nice layout. It looks better than the photos in real life and has very relaxed social atmosphere. Good place to meet people. Close to the main street for supermarkets and restaurants. Beware that they send one automated message when you first book it, even though *********** confirms your booking, if you dont respond to that message and show up after 5pm they will try to give away your room. I arrived at 6pm due to flight delay and was made to feel very unwelcome and greeted with a sour attitude saying that they had already given away my room. I just apologised and waited to see what would happen preparing to find a new place to stay. Then they belligerently gave me the room anyway but it all felt a bit hostile. Cash only.

This hostel is definitely on the social end. The free breakfasts and late night music were nice additions. The amenities are fairly basic as expected, such as cold showers. Though our air conditioning hardly functioned and we’d paid extra for a room with it. Additionally, the bunk beds had the smallest curtains that may as well have not existed with quite rickety top bunks. Loved the aesthetic and overall layout of the place and it’s located in a convenient spot. The staff were all very accommodating.

In four weeks of travelling Flores this was the worst place we bin to! Beside the dirty and claustrophobic dorm room the staff at the reception was the opposite of friendly and helpful, half way the evening we made the choice to leave and get another place.

Great hostel in Labuan Bajo right on the waterfront. Lots of things within walking distance. Staff was the best! Super friendly and always willing to help or give advise. They can organise all sorts of tours for you so no need to book in advance. Rooms are clean, shared showers/toilet cleaned often too. Communal space was really cool with lots of space to sit and eat/drink plus upstairs a nice lounge area with big sofa and bean bags to chill out on. Would highly recommend as a budget option if you're visiting Komodo national park
