Salad Hut

The best return trip over two years on. It was lovely to see familiar and new faces. Such a paradise with the children and really makes you switch off and relax. We enjoyed time around the pool, slow walks on the beach and evenings eating delicious food. Neil and his banjo are always a delight and a real highlight for the boys! As was going down to breakfast and ordering there own before we got there. Great rooms with brilliant air con! Thank you for a wonderful return trip.

We spent a week here and absolutely loved it. There is nothing to say but perfect. The bungalows overlook the beach. The breakfast is just perfect and the staff so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Can’t wait to see you all again

Let me start by saying that this must have been the best hotel we have stayed in during our trip in Thailand. We stayed here for 4 nights, but easily could have stayed longer than that. We booked a villa right on the beach for the first 3 nights, which was absolutely perfect. The villa was spacious, clean and offers free water, coffee and tea. The bathroom was big and clean. Airconditioning worked perfectly, which was necessary given the high temperatures. The balcony with 2 private chairs and sunbeds were also amazing. We enjoyed it a lot. Not to mention the view we had from our private balcony, it was stunning. The people working at this hotel are the best! They are so friendly and make jokes all the time to make you feel very welcome. They remember the room you are in, what you order for breakfast (which is an a la carte menu) and always work with a smile on their face. They are the most friendly people we encountered during our trip! The beach is beautiful and you can watch the sunset from your balcony. Although it is a beautiful beach and not private, it does feel a little bit private as it was not crowded at all. The only disadvantage of this hotel, is that it is quite far away from nice streets with restaurants and supermarkets, therefore we decided to eat at the restaurant of the hotel every night. Be aware that the mosquitos are active during the night, so make sure to bring something for this. In short, we loved our stay here and were sad to leave!

This is perfect tranquil place to stay. Really chilled vibe, child friendly and staff very helpful and warm. Large room, good facilities, swimming/padelboard and kayaks available to use for free. Restaurant food and drinks very good and reasonably priced. Fantastic beach and soft sand, good for children as not too deep.

I wanted a bungalow on the beach to get the true feeling of being on an island but with some decent amenities & this is what we got & more. I booked 2 Superior Huts which were perfect. They are on stilts about 70m from the beach so you hear the soft lapping of the waves & as you go down the stairs the pool is right there. The furnishings although sparse, are of a high quality & the bed & bedding is good. Full size toiletries are provided & they have a lovely shower. My only suggestion would be that they add a chair in the room as there is nowhere to put clothing except a small sized cupboard & 3 hooks on the wall. While we managed living out of our suitcases for 4 days, when we go for a longer period this would become bothersome. In all the years of extensive travel this is the first time that we have dined exclusively at the hotel's restaurant. The food is excellent & the prices very reasonable for what you get. The breakfasts while not offering a huge selection was good. The service by the staff is brilliant & a special mention must go to Lin who is a ray of sunshine always having a big smile & joke. The "hotel" is just what you need to relax & lap up the stunning view of the ocean. Compliments to all at the Salad Hut

We had a fantastic 3 nights here in August with our two kids (5 and 8). The room was on the small side for us but the lack of bag space was more than compensated for by the fantastic verandah with views over the pool and the beach. The rooms and restaurant have the best views on the beach. We filled our days with kayaking, snorkelling (great on clear days, average but still fun for kids after rain), visits to other beaches and markets on KP. Wet weather meant we didn't attempt any hiking. Staff were all super helpful and really nice, they love kids. Breakfast was simple but cooked fresh and good coffee. The only downside was that you have to book so early to bag a room! We had five nights on KP but could only book 3 at salad hut. We would have been happier to stay all 5 nights there, and even longer. Would love to go back, such a relaxing place to stay.
