메이알라이 비치 리조트(Mayalay Resort-Green Hotel)

This is a fantastic resort. It’s simple but nice and clean. The staff is really friendly and they can speak english. The part of the beach down the resort was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The food was good but the breakfast could offer more option to vegans and vegetarians. We want to go back!

We really liked Mayalay resort. It is simple but clean and right at the beach. The beach mest the Hotel was the best part of the beach on Koh Ngai. The staff was very friendly and we could book one extra Night. The breakfast was ok and you could order some single dish if you liked. There was not no many vegan or vegetarian options for breakfast. The food on the resort was good. We want to go back!

Lovely stay in paradise with the beach just outside the bungalow.

Absolutely a tropical paradise - with a couple of exceptions. The customer service is amazing and first rate service as soon as you arrive. The snorkeling trip with Mark was the best thing we did in our month in Thailand and I highly recommend it! The cabanas are very comfortable; although the mattress is rock hard. Fresh seafood is delicious! In hindsight, I would have just rented a garden view instead of the sea view for the cost since all of them are just steps from the beach and not worth the extra cost for the sea view. I do have a couple of recommendations though: STOP BURNING TRASH!!! This is completely unacceptable and the noxious fumes you are creating is poisoning your guests and the environment. Unfortunately, all the resorts on this island do this archaic practice and the smell is unbearable. There is also a large unregulated garbage dump along the trail to the other side of the island that needs to be cleaned up. Second recommendation is for the resort to use biodegradable cardboard straws. There is no place for plastic in a paradise like this. Lastly, stop anchoring the boats in the very sensitive sea grass and reefs. If you want to protect this island, these practices must stop immediately. I would have gladly of paid extra for my stay if I knew it went towards preserving this unique and beautiful location. With all this being said, it is a breathtaking (no pun intended with the burning trash) experience and far less tourists than on other islands.

Nous avons seulement dîner à un soir dans le restaurant de l’hôtel, l’accueil était parfait, des lanternes et un chanteur font de cet endroit un havre de paix contrairement aux autres resorts qui sont full le soir. Les plats sont bons et le service au top ! Merci encore pour ce beau moment !

Cet endroit est tout simplement paradisiaque. Il y règne un esprit un peu bohème, les bungalows comparaient aux autres ressorts sont assez espacés et leur recouvrement en bambou donne au lieu un air nature et bohème très appréciables. Cela est renforcé par un très joli restaurant, dont les plats sont délicieux et variés, qui dénote avec une ambiance un peu chaîne chinoise de certains autres ressorts avoisinants. Le personnel est adorable et à vos petits soins et les gérants dégagent une énergie incroyablement positive et paisible. La vue de la plage est splendide, avec son eau turquoise, cette jungle magnifique vallonnée derrière, les magnifiques îles qui parsèment le front de mer au devant. Les points de snorkeling en sortie à la journée sont très beaux, les balades pour aller à l’autre plage aussi. Tout invite à la détente et au bien être. Malgré un standing élevé, l’ambiance globale reste détendue et simple, plus qu’à Koh Kradan qui a un air plus « bling bling ». De loin, c’est le plus bel endroit de nos vacances, nous y avons passé 5 jours et auront pu, sans nous ennuyer, y rester encore. On y part l’esprit léger de la paix retrouvée mais le coeur un peu lourd de laisser derrière nous ce lieux et ces personnes si incroyables. Nous sommes ensuite allés dans le parc naturel de Tarutao pensant y trouver, tel que décrit dans les guides de voyage, une ambiance préservée et naturelle, si c’est ce que vous rechercher comme nous, les îles de Trang offre un cadre bien plus propice à cela.

Sinds november 2022 weer open. Prachtige locatie direct aan het strand. Een vriendelijke staff. Het resort heeft wat onderhoud nodig, maar verder prima bevallen. Eten kun je direct aan het strand. Neem cash geld mee want er zijn geen ATM's.
