Stay was very comfortable, newly build resort food is good. Chef saurabh, manager shiv are very friendly. Every thing was taken care of very well . Hospitality was great . Will visit again with family.

The service was the poorest we've ever experienced in India. Staff F in restaurant totally disinterested. The hotel had no sun loungers by the pool as depicted in their advertising. Left after one night having paid for two nights up front at reception. They refused to reimburse the night not used ! First hotel in India that we were asked to pay up front..... You now know why. Many of the other guests were bitterly complaining about the shocking service and attitude of the staff.

Room 105, Level 1 This is my 4th trip to Kerala. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Our room was tiny and very dark. Windows are facing a very close wall (see picture). We had a hard time getting power from the outlets. Shower has no hose, you must shower the head. Spot on the sheet (picture). The main lobby is freezing cold, about 18C, you cannot stay there. We found an empty main desk at 9:30 pm and had someone called to get our key. There is no garden and surroundings are awful. Avoid this place.

The hotel is a 150-year-old former British bank; someone who has an appreciation for Colonial buildings will absolutely love the experience. Maintaining such a property is not an easy experience, but the team has done an excellent job. The entire property has a combination of blue, white, and black, which is such a calming combination. 1. Rooms/lobby : comfortable beds, clean linens, and a clean and bright restroom. The color combination of blue, white, and black has been maintained in the rooms as well, with a lot of attention to detail in making the room look absolutely stunning and photographic. 2. Food: The catering is handled by Cafe Noir, a popular restaurant chain; the menu is French continental; if you are looking for traditional local cuisine, this is not the place. It is more suited to a western audience; the breakfast has limited options, but the quality of food makes up for it here; the pancakes, croissant sandwich, and date almond shake were my favorites. Excellent work by Joseph, Immanuel, and Shyam here; they've gone to the extent of customizing your food as per preference. 3. Easy access to tourist locations: you'll have to take a ferry to reach the island; there is some construction work towards the hotel; but it is not difficult to reach by car or auto; the location is between Mattachery and Vasco da Gama Square. Bonus tip: nearby small town village Kunnapuram can fetch all your basic daily needs. 4. Staff service: This is clearly the strength of the hotel, apart from the architecture. Mr.Umesh Panda, the main person here, ***** with Jude and Younis, ensured our every need to make this stay comfortable was met. The staff speaks multiple languages so communication was not a problem. Very well-behaved and professional Bonus tips : the location has a swimming pool on the terrace, which will be a very nice experience. Also, my wife and I spent our early mornings sipping tea and soaking in the beauty of Kochi Harbour from the roof. This is a must-stay place if you are looking to relax for a couple of days in western architecture.

We had more than a fabulous experience at Azora. I traveled with my friends and we were treated royally throughout. Umesh and other members of the staff like Viki, Jithin, Hathab, etc went out of their way to make our stay extra comfortable and memorable.

Dinuj and his team was in touch, with all the information and help, as soon as my sister and I had confirmed our reservations. Umesh then took over and with the same professionalism ensured we had a great stay. The decor is chic with black and white checkered flooring everywhere. No carpets so no musty smells. The beds are very comfortable and the linen is of a high quality. The rooms are well appointed. The staff are smiling and ever ready to help which was a BIG change from attitudes elsewhere in Fort Kochi! As we were there for the Biennale, the Azora was most conveniently located: walking distance from most venues. We will go back again!
