The Flambeau Hideaway, located 20 minutes outside of Mercer, WI, is our 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sits on the shores of Lake Bastine, one of the original lake basins located on the west-central portion of Turtle Flambeau Flowage. The Flowage consists of over 14,000 acres & over 90% of the surrounding land is state owned & undeveloped; which gives off that true wilderness feel. So many outdoor activities! That’s the beauty of the Northwoods - snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hiking LIST GOES ON!Species of fish on the Flowage include: walleye, musky, largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch, panfish, northern pike and sturgeon. If you are planning on fishing during your stay, please don't hesitate to contact us, as Bret, the owner of the cabin, spends a lot of time on the water and can help provide safe navigational routes and point you in the right direction to have a successful day of fishing. The town of Mercer is 15 miles away and Manitowish Waters is about a 35 minute drive from the cabin. There are many super club options in both of these towns.
