We rented a 4 bed cabin as a couple, which was cosy though it looked very different from the pictures on the website, cooking was in the common kitchen which is very comfortable and has a lot of seating. There are also saunas and the surroundings are beautiful . Reception was friendly. But the good impressions were destroyed when using the toilets and bathroom. It is old and not well maintained. They smelled already from a couple of meters away. The too few showers were disgusting. Nobody checked the toilets and showers in the evening. The other thing is that the resort seems to be proud to be a self cleaning community, OK for me, but then you should give people equipment to do so. There was only a brush / broom in the room. One bucket and mop in the common area for all cabins . Nothing to clean surfaces. Other resorts do that much better for less money. I would not come back.

Two nights in a tent on our way to Norway. Camping field was small but not overbooked. The kitchen was clean, showers a bit old-fashioned but worked. Sauna was good. And no mosquitos! A tip for birdwatchers: this seems to be a good place to observe waxwings.

Cabins are nice and cozy, and the place is beautiful with a frozen lake and winter wonderland vibes. I stayed there for 5 days with my boyfriend and we loved it. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared though, so be ready to walk in the freezing cold to go pee at night! It is not too far away from the city center, but there is no public transportation; your only option will be to ask the Camp Alta administration for a ride and it can get quite expensive (200 SEK per person per ride), so make sure you plan your supermarket trips and other touristic activities.

We have been to Camp Alta once before, loved it and wanted to come back for a whole week. But unfortunately regretted it and realized the accomodation works well only for very short stays. We found the camp very neglected: poor cleaning in the cabin at check-in and in the common space, in the kitchen basic items were missing (NO bowls nor spoons, so impossible to have a soup or cereals, the pans all broken, the toaster out of order but still around the kitchen). The most problematic thing was our bed. We booked a two-people (adults) cabin, and ended up with a 120-cm bed. The pictures were taken with a wide angle and the bed looked ok, so we were very surprised and disappointed when we found a tiny bed. We asked if a camping bed could be added, but they could not help us. As a result, we didn't sleep for a whole week, which is definitely problematic. Check the size of the bed before booking anything. I realized only once we were there that in their official website you can find the size of the bed (not on ***********), but still, a bed of 120cm should not for any reason be found in a two-people accomodation.

Sin duda esta es una zona para disfrutar en la naturaleza, tanto de verano como en invierno, y disfrutar realizando paseos por toda esa zona en bicicleta, motos de nieve, canoas, paseos, saunas…., tienes que alquilar una cabaña y estar disfrutando con familia y amigos, varias zonas comunes y opciones de alquiler de motos, bicicletas y canoas así como de excursiónes

Struttura in una posizione meravigliosa di fronte ad un lago ghiacciato, ci si sente totalmente immersi nella natura ed è una buona location per vedere l’aurora. Kiruna è raggiungile in 10 minuti di auto. Abbiamo optato per un bungalow con bagno interno, 2 stanze (1 molto piccola ma ci siamo mossi tardi a prenotare ed era l’unica soluzione disponibile) un salottino e cucina, ben riscaldato e con tutto l’occorrente. Abbiamo noleggiato le lenzuola ed erano pulitissime. Lo staff è sempre molto gentile e pronto a darti una mano in qualsiasi cosa. Nel camp l’ospite deve in autonomia occuparsi della pulizia della propria cabina e degli spazi comuni utilizzati, abbiamo trovato grande educazione e rispetto per il prossimo. Ben organizzate le escursioni con i cani e con la motoslitta. Posto consigliato
