I have only good things to say! Room was very spacious and lovely for the both of us and had everything you needed. We stayed in a triple room for 2 of us (but in the end room had 2 single beds and 2 bunk beds but no problems with that of course). Bed was very comfortable, shared showers and toilets outside were clean, spacious and bright. Counter staff Matt in particular was incredibly helpful and friendly, and helped us figure out a way to hike Blencathra via Sharp Edge in the morning, informed us of bus availabilities and schedules etc. They also allowed us to store luggage with them while we hiked and allowed us to use their toilets and showers to freshen up after the hike. We also had lunch there and food was delicious!! Really great hotel very value for money. Thank you!

We started and fin our linier hike from here,we had 2 4 bed rooms and ours had a balcony overlooking the river,check in was quick and easy and we all got settled in the rooms before having a beer in the bar/dining area, The rooms are comfortable with enough space for kit and the beds although bunk beds are well made and sturdy, Our room had a toilet and shower with a sink in the sleeping area,oneroblem we had was the toilet never filled properly and this was reported to reception, The hostel is popular and when we were there a group of 50 students were also there but the staff were great at serving either beers or breakfast in the morning. It's a great place to head out from with its excellent location and we will deffo stay here again

I had a lovely stay at Keswick YHA. Everything was clean, including the self catering kitchen and my bed was really comfortable. A great location by the river and I woke to the sound of doves and pigeons cooing through the open window...very peaceful!

CAFE REVIEW Long after most of the town centre coffee shops have closed, this warm haven stays open (until 9.00pm) to service the weary, half-frozen hillwalker or cyclist with a warm welcome and very competitively priced hot drinks and cakes etc. All served with a smile, courtesy and the warmest of welcomes. A credit to the YHA organisation.

Stayed between Christmas and New Year for a couple of days. Staff were as lovely as always. The room was clean and warm. The windows absolutely howl in the wind though and woke me right through the night even with ear plugs in. Probably just need a bit of sealant or something. The showers and toilets were clean and the showers were hot, not powerful at all but good enough. The self catering kitchen is great. The drying rooms are good. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and great view. The location is excellent and normally I don’t book this yha as it’s usually so expensive in comparison to most but got a bargain this time. It can be noisy with footsteps, squeaky floors a d doors banging so take ear plugs. Overall, great stay.
