퐁궤 베이 리조트(Pongwe Bay Resort)

We stayed at Pongwe for 5 nights in our trip to Zanzibar. ROOM: was quite old I would say (both bed, sheets and bathroom), but pretty well maintained in terms of cleanliness. FACILITIES: the hotel has a very nice white and wide sandy beach, with an amazing bridge towards a restaurant on the sea (similar to what Melia has). LOCATION: I would not recommend due to the fact that you have frequent cycles of low-high tide. Therefore, the water will not be available every time for swimming and also it is full of algae. STAFF: Amazing staff, friendly, helpful and polite all the time (I would like to mention here Gladie). The restaurant also offers a variety of food options.

The best accomodation in my life… the resort was excellent, the staff absolutely perfect, very king and very implicated. Also, the managers are doing their job very very good, all the staff deserve a raise in thei sallary!! I will for certain come back!

First time to visit Zanzibar. I've always wanted to and glad that we finally did it. Boy, it's all the patient needed. Simply the best. It's worth all the cents. The cleanliness of the place, the professional staff, the rooms are simply amazing.

Beautiful and peaceful place , the staff are amazing, rooms are big and clean. The managers are not friendly it’s a shame the staff are the ones make more effort with the guests We went to Toa hotel next door to Pongwe bay resort the manager great us from the door and offer us to stay for the music. Very friendly and welcoming.That is what’s lacking in Pongwe that warm welcome !! While Toe were full booked. Other than that our stay was special

The hotel is located on the beach, but the sea is not really suitable for swimming due to the sharp rocks and the often low water level. The swimming pool is beautifully situated with the house surrounding it. Unfortunately, sometimes there were not enough sun loungers, so we simply moved to the beach. The room was spacious and clean with a nice canopy where you could relax for a while. The food was delicious, especially in the jetty restaurant where Johnny made sure that delicious vegetarian and meat dishes were made for us every time. The breakfast where special omelette and fresh fruits were made was delicious. We had a wonderful week at Pongwe Bay.

Our stay at the hotel was truly exceptional! Huge thanks to George and Godfrey for their warm hospitality, making us feel at home. The restaurant surpassed our expectations; the linguine with lobster was simply amazing. A perfect destination for an unforgettable holiday!

My wife and I had an excellent stay in Pongwe Bay Resort. The resort has a beautful garden and swimming pool, an exquisite place to find peace and quiet. We enjoyed as well the excellent cuisine in the two restaurants.. The management and staff are very welcoming and friendly. For the birthday of my wife, they organized a lovely dinner on the beach next to the resort. We highly recommend this place.

Very good hotel, rooms are clean and always nice decorated with flowers. Perfect hotel for people who want to relax and enjoy the swimming pool. Swimming in the sea is not always possible due to low tide. Even from the peer it is quite shallow and swimming could be difficult.

Gorgeous hotel, super relaxing, delicious pool. Staff super nice and helpful. Activities on certain days. Be aware of tide changes but that's across all the island.
