Pros: -Great location, beautiful view of the river -Wonderful dinner buffet Cons: -Check in took close to an hour as they couldn’t find my booking. Had to reach out to trip.com for help. That said trip customer service is excellent -Rooms are quite old and had a musky smell

The room was very basic, not particularly clean, and lacked any charm. The staff was completely incompetent, and the services were practically non-existent. They didn’t even have something as simple as a Coca-Cola Zero or a thermometer. The pool was in constant shade, making the water always cold, and the pool bar was closed with no staff available. They didn’t provide towels, and the pool loungers were uncomfortable and dirty. The breakfast was extremely poor, with very limited options, and the food was terrible—completely tasteless and disappointing. To make things worse, the photos online are completely misleading and do not reflect the reality of the property. Overall, this hotel was a massive letdown, far from what was advertised. Save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere!

Overall stay in radisson kandy was pretty pleasant and comfortable. Room was very clean and presentable. Had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and the dining hall was spacious and the food was tasty with a variety of dishes. Roof top restaurants have a good variety of dishes with swimming pool and very view of skyline with visible kandy lake, buddha temples, mountains etc. Staff was very pleasant and ready to help for any requirements. Only was the availability of drinking water. Supplied only 2 bottles of 500 ml each and water cooler/ dispenser not available and guest had to buy additional water bottles at very high cost (compared to market rate. Hotel management can have a look at an issue of availability of drinking water. Otherwise the overall hotel stay was pleasant/ satisfying.

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire Tree of Life team for the exceptional support and wonderful service provided. Our team is extremely happy with the experience, and we were particularly impressed by the top-notch food. Hats off to Chef Debahaduwa, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort with his mouth-watering dishes. On behalf of the management, I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your dedication and commitment. A special mention goes to Koshila for arranging a better rate and excellent offer, and to Mr. Kapila for ensuring a smooth check-in and seamless check-out experience. Your warm service truly stood out. I also want to acknowledge Jackie, Sisira, and Sajee & the entire F&B Team for their attentive service, which was delivered without any fuss. Excellent location with GREAT SERVICE, SUPERB FOOD and HAPPY STAFF. Definitely recommend this hotel and we will go back here again. The staff goes out of their way to take care of the guest is the standard here. Love the location in between the mountains and the balcony in every room adds to the beauty. Well maintained and extremely clean.
