브로뮐레 크로(Bromølle Kro)

We went to Denmark for the first time and for family reasons my husband and I needed to stay in Jyderup. It is a little gem of a place, not just this hotel but also the town. I did book through ********** for a two night stay. However, we decided later we needed 3 nights, which wasn't available on ********** and so I contacted the hotel. They were very accommodating and advised I could have an extra night and pay on arrival. It took us about an hour to drive from Copenhagen and the hotel is about 5-10 min drive to the town. This hotel is a classic old building built in the 12th century. Amazing. The main house has the breakfast/dinner areas including outdoors as well as a function room. I am unsure if there is accommodation in the main building. We had a room in one of the many rooms which are out the back of the main building. I believe there is about 30 rooms. We faced the carpark (I know that doesn't sound nice but it was great) and we faced the greenery where a river than through below. The owners were so kind, so accommodating and always at your service despite how busy they were and the place was extremely busy during our stay. We had a double room, with a fantastic bed, desk and chair as well a two seater lounge, one seater and a coffee table. No complaints it was great. The room was extremely clean as was the outdoor furniture. There was a kettle and tea and coffee which was great. The room was clean and big enough, as was the bathroom. Please note there is no aircon but you can ask for a fan. We found if we placed the fan strategically in front of the French doors to the open balcony, facing the room, it would cool down the room enormously, otherwise we found the room quite warm at night and uncomfortable. There is no refrigerator but they can provide you with ice if required. We chose not to the bother the owners and bought a bucket in town and ice and this was sufficient for us. The weather was unusual, hot in the sun and cold in the shade but the furnished balcony (which every room has) is fantastic. Unfortunately, when the sun warms up it's impossible to sit out there. Perhaps umbrellas could be supplied - just a thought. Breakfast was included in our price and it was a buffet breakfast with fantastic options. Well worth the money spent in Denmark and we found Denmark is generally pretty expensive. Plenty of options to choose from. We also ate at the restaurant; it was always pretty full with patrons. I am unsure if that was locals or just people staying at the hotel. Prices are not cheap but the meals are amazing. The steak is worthwhile having. The wines and service impeccable. The town is 5-10 min drive with shops and a Netto and a Spar supermarket. There are also places to eat . There is also a train station in town. Smokers – you can smoke on the balcony.

Pragtfuld ophold, service i top, nostalgi, skøn natur, gourmet mad, renlighed i top, venlig og hjælpsom personale - en sand perle, hvor smilet er alle vegne , - skøn terrasse med blomsterpragt og udsigt til å og skov, -et sted man glæder sig til at besøge snarest igen

Väldigt mysigt hotell, tyst och stillsam miljö. Allt är rent och i sin ordning. Underbart med egen altan till varje rum. Såhär sommartid så vore det underbart med en liten kyl i rummet. Frukosten var liten men tillräckligt i alla fall för min smak. Jag ska tillbaka så jag kommer boka in mig här igen.

Maden var god, sengen på det "romantiske værelse" var fin. Det var svært ud fra billederne at tyde hvilken type badeværelse som hørte til hvilken type værelse. Vi havde forventet badekar men fik brusekabine. Man skal åbenbart bestille "Spa værelse" for at få badekar? hvilket jo er helt i orden, vi ville bare gerne have vist det da vi bestilte. Svært skuffende var kaffen! Den vil ligge til grund for at vi ikke stopper ind her medmindre det bliver for overnatning eller aftensmad, og så planlægger vi at undgå kaffen. og hvorfor så det? Jo. Den smagte elendigt og viste sig at være "frysetørret kaffe" altså "hurtig kaffe" eller "Instant coffee", mange kender eksempelvis "Nescafe"
