Beautiful house with lovely hosts and amazing breakfast

An amazing find! A beautiful house in the countryside about 1 1/4 miles from the town. Very well kept, warm and welcoming. Sheila and Peter make you so welcome and the rooms have everything for your needs. Breakfast is served in a traditional dining room with a log fire. The food is well cooked and tasty, with lovely fresh eggs from their own hens. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

The Wife wasn't keen on staying here after driving up the lonely lane in the dark but all that changed once we got inside. We had a very warm welcome and were shown to our very nicely decorated, well appointed room. Sheila was very friendly and accommodating even to the point of allowing us to use her deep freeze to store the haggis I was on my way to taking home! Breakfast was superb and obviously only used the best ingredients. The grounds of Hundalee House looked superb and I would love to go and see them in the Summer.

Lovely country location but also close to town; good breakfast with lots of choice; comfortable bed; warm room; friendly host. Would recommend!

Im so glad i booked this place. Sheila was a wonderful host. We were made very welcome. Despite another reviewer it was easy to find. Its a quiet peaceful old farmhouse. The room had everything you need. First floir room overlooked the beautiful garden. Sheila and Peters dogs potter around the house and garden they are friendly. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay with Sheila and peter the two of them couldn't have been more helpful such a lovely house with some fantastic decor to suit the history of the building the room was clean and tidy breakfast was great especially the bacon. It's always a pleasure to see such lovely buildings being kept alive by people like these two and better yet inviting people in to share the experience. Thanks again. Trev and the gang.

This is a beautiful farmhouse built in the 1600s. The rooms are all up a flight of stairs, so not great for mobility challenges. And I am sorry to say that the water pressure in the shower is terribly insufficient. I’m sure it’s due to the age of the place, but it took forever to get the shampoo out of my hair. The other consideration is that depending on the direction you’re approaching from, there is a white road sign marked Hundalee-but it’s EXACTLY where the “turn” is. It is little more than a barely paved driveway, and it’s a very tight turn, tighter than a u-turn. They also have two sweet dogs, Milo and Lexie, so if you have allergies, perhaps look elsewhere.
