This tiny home is located in West Columbia's New Brookland Historic District - an up-and-coming pocket neighborhood just over the river from downtown Columbia with single-family homes and duplexes dating from the early 1900s. Many of these homes have been owned for generations and some show signs of wear and their age. With older historically lower income neighborhoods like this, you will see visible deferred maintenance and sometimes yards and front porches with a collection of random objects, some may call it hoarding. This neighborhood is completely safe despite some of the decrepit homes and with the new $40 million dollar mixed-use development like Brookland and the ongoing State Street revitalization, this area is only getting better and better! My husband David and I used to live on this street and have always wanted to make our way back. The proximity to downtown Columbia and the hopping Vista area can't be beat.
