A wonderful getaway in the most magnificent setting. From the pristine garden to the old world building filled with the most amazing antiques. Rooms are spacious and beds were super comfortable. Great hosts and delicious food. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

Had an amazing weekend at Backworth The food and service was exceptional. The rooms and Bathrooms spacious and elegant. The hotel decor , simply magnificent .To complete the picture are exquisite gardens .Thank you from all of us !

Acres of incredible gardens established over generations replete with neo-classic statuary and scintillating fountains welcome you to this spectacular estate. The interiors are beautiful; the detail and collections of art, antiques and ever so comfy furnishings make a visit here the perfect treat. The food and dinning experiences we enjoyed were sublime. We loved the attention to detail at every level. A short 50 minute drive from Durban is a massive advantage, so this will be a definite regular treat for us!
