Creta Suites

Simply put, stay away. The beds were hard as a rock. The furniture looks and feels cheaply made. The appliances that were supplied were old and tired. It was not a fully equipped unit. Everything was extra. Five euros for kitchen cleaning supplies. Ten euros for a toaster and coffee maker. Even a stopper for the sink was an extra cost. The clincher was the Male (Manager?) at the desk. He was arrogant and dismissive. It's tired and definitely not the four-star resort they say it is. The only thing that was pleasant was the area. You do need a car but Crete is a wonderful island with no end of places to explore.

We booked Creta suites through RCI as an exchange holiday. The surcharge was higher that usual and then was increased e.g. we paid 80euro/week in Madeira in April 23 , Creta suites is 157.50/week The resort is in a quiet are of the island in the SE which was as expected. The resort is tired and needs updating. There is a small pool which is unheated which we didnt use. Our apartment was for upto 4 people there was a King room and then two single beds where usually you would find indoor seating and a sofa bed. Outside there was narrow veranda with a table for 2 with two exrat chairs stuck in a corner The kitchen was tired poorly equipped e.g. not enough glasses for 4 people. if you wanted a coffee machine or a toaster you had to pay extra 15 € per week surcharge. There was a tiny safe which you had to pay a 14€ per week surcharge for the key. The bathroom was old , the tiles in the shower had been overpainted in the past an this was now flaking off. The bedroom furniture was in good condition , but the mattress was extremely hard and very thin. (Think Prison mattress ) And after too many sleepless nights we left halfway through our 14 day stay

Booked this unit in late Oct, apparent end of tourist season. Mild weather, quiet. Unit was well maintained, hosts were great. Recommend you get their morning breakfast option, truly enough food for lunch as well and local as well. Room is equipped to cook but need to rent a coffee pot, seemed strange but would if I came back. Got a rental car and drove all over. Fun trip.

We had a wonderful time at Creta Suites. It is in a semi rural location and the view from our apartment was incredible. Apartment was comfortable and clean. Some may be use to fancier but more than adequate. Good package on arrival is great value. Breakfast on the days we had it was delicious and filled us up until late afternoon. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Surrounding landscape of mountains were incredible. Peaceful and quiet location A car is vital to appreciate the area and well worth it. The walk is more than manageable to the beach if you have average fitness. I wanted to give 4.5 stars but it wouldn’t let me. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay. Special mention to the friendly and beautiful on-site cat. If you don’t like cats it won’t bother you so don’t worry. The place is a bit of a hidden gem.

We stayed at Creta Suites in May this year (2023) and had a wonderful week. The apartment was moderate but clean and had everything we needed. The views were super. The pool was cool but enjoyable. The staff were lovely. Yes, you do ideally need a car and we explored the area, finding a lovely beach with cafe which we frequented on several days when not driving further afield. The two nearby restaurants within walking distance were both excellent. We will certainly be returning.

This resort requires upgrading of bedding which is old and noisy. The kitchen is poorly equipped, some essentials like kettle are not available. The doors are not oiled and make noises. Extra service fees imposed by the property are not clearly explained

I had a super time at Creta Suites. It is a relatively isolated and quiet place in a hilly area, but still a 15-minute walk from five great restaurants and two fully stocked convenience stores, plus two beaches and more restaurants further on. The nearest big town is a short bus/taxi ride away. Staff are friendly, helpful, and competent. The room I got was spacious and clean, with a good view of the ocean. Staff provided fresh towels and toiletries periodically. I used the excellent laundry service. Large, tasty breakfasts every morning. The pool was open at this late September/early October time. Every day was sunny with clear skies, sometimes windy. Bring binoculars to watch the sea and stars. Other people have balked at the list of up-front fees for various little conveniences, but I thought it was honest, and certainly worth the expense.

Residence a 10min da Ierapetra, in un paesino tranquillo e con molti locali tipici e market. Parcheggio privato ma un po' scomodo per la presenza di due rampe parecchio ripide. Appartamento spazioso e ben arredato, aria condizionata e zanzariere, letti comodi. La cucina è fornita giusto del minimo indispensabile; molte cose possono essere richieste pagando a parte (tipo caffettiera, tostapane). La pulizia dell'appartamento lascia molto a desiderare: in una settimana avranno pulito forse solo una volta, lasciando tra l'altro polvere sul pavimento. La biancheria invece viene cambiata ogni 2/3 giorni. Personale gentile ma poco presente.

This place is very quiet, nice for relaxing. Not for kids, because the lack of such activities. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Not luxuries, but nice place to stay. Long, but doable walk to the beach
