We had my daughter-in-law’s baby shower here over the weekend. Everything was wonderful. We had the pancake breakfast buffet with the real Geauga maple syrup, sausage, eggs, fruit, hash browns and everything tasted delicious. Meghan and Kate were a pleasure to work with and the servers were polite and kept the buffet stocked and did a great job with clearing the plates and refilling the mimosa bar. I highly recommend having your next event here.

I stayed here early in October for one night. I enjoyed it. I had a very nice room with lots of room. It was very clean and neat. The Tudor look to it makes it a good experience for me. I walked a trail at the lake;s edge all the way to the cottage area. I ate all three meals here and liked that as well. The check in is not until 4:00, and thate was the case as they had a full house. It was worth the wait for the room. There is no elevator, but they do offer to have help getting luggage up the spiral staircase. I would stay here agian.

Super nice second stay at the lodge, coinciding with a family reunion and The Great Geauga County Fair in Burton. The room was all in good order, clean and tidy. Beds were comfortable with smooth linens and firm mattresses. I even liked the pillows and I'm hard to please in that respect. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The outdoor pool with its contoured chaises was a luxurious touch I enjoyed. Wonderful too was the lake, with birds and trees all around me; evening walks on the boardwalk soothed my soul. Complimentary coffee in the A.M. was an added bonus and MUCH appreciated. The only thorn on this magnificent rose was the terrible sewage odor that pervades the main entrance area. I tried to sit out here and it was impossible; seems like it is even worse than last year. Please, Management, do something about it. Otherwise, I give Punderson State Park and its lodge a most enthusiastic thumbs up and highly recommend it to all!

I thought I was going to be impressed and have a great time here this grand old manor. What a disappointing experience. Truly disappointed, disgusted and upset at how dirty the rooms were, the indoor pool was nasty, and no excuse for the lack of hospitality to the paying guests. 1. There were spider webs and debris on all the windows and window sills, the bathroom was super dirty, mildewy and grime all over the bathtub. 2. The trash bin in the restroom was rusted and old, by a new teash bin at the dollar store. BLOND hair was everywhere in the tub and sink aka im.a brunette. 3. I was trying to justify the state of this manor but came to a conclusion that would not allow me to justify the nastiness and filth of this manor. 4. The indoor swimming pool was nasty, cloudy and tons of debris floating in the water. The added a ton of chlorine to cover up the stench and filth. 5. There wasn't any clean towels ??? How do you not have clean towels in a hotel really ?? When I asked the front desk clerk for some clean fresh towels, this woman seemed upset that I asked for them LOL 6. The staff behaved like they never have seen minorities before, minorities who paid $300 per room plus a rented cabin for 1 night. 3 rooms plus a frickin cabin OMG. 7. Weird vibe, dirty place and for what we spent for 1 night, we could have stayed in a very upscale clean modern Hotel with great hospitality. 8. Conclusion: I prefer a clean and sanitary environment but most importantly a hospitable environment. Yours Truly Disappointed and Disgusted.

After staying 4 nights in a luxury AirBnB, we stayed here for a night and really loved the contrast. A low-key, budget-friendly place, but with a TON of amenities, including pickleball (appeared to be a brand new court as of 2024 or close to it), volleyball, hiking trails, boating, board games, huge inside pool, and even bigger outdoor pool. Would definitely recommend to others. The 2-bedroom cabin was amazing - great space for a family. Nice televisions and screened porch, and the wifi was great. We borrowed a board game from the front desk to play. The tennis courts were not functional as of June 2024, and the beds were just okay.

Punderson Manor Lodge is a nice historic Tudor manor that has been converted into a lodge and hotel. It is now part of the Ohio State Park system. We were here for two nights for a wedding and overall our experience was very good. In coming here I think you need to understand that this is not a modern commercial hotel and lacks some of the efficiencies and amenities you might expect. On the other hand, however, it is a charming old building in a beautiful setting. You may need to adjust expectations in some respects, but overall you should have an enjoyable experience. Punderson sits on a large lake with great views. We were here when the leaves were turning in October and the views were spectacular. The rooms are comfortable and appear to have been updated in many respects. Again, this is not a 2010-built Hyatt but an historic state park building. The main areas have lots of wood and stone and the views are very good from several sides. The restaurant was having staffing problems the night we were here because of call-offs. Yes, it was a bit slow at times, but we found that by. recognizing that the persons there were working hard and trying to please, they were able to accommodate us as well. The park is in a rural setting. In addition to the restaurant here, there are several nice restaurants in Chagrin Falls, a nice drive to the west and south. You are also within easy distance of the Amish community in Middlefield as well as other parks in the excellent Geauga County system. We enjoyed our time here.

We were just at this one over night. Stayed here on the way to a high school class reunion. We like to support the state park lodges, but the pricing was high for what we got. Overall a very nice stay.

My husband and I got away for a night and we loved this place! We got checked in right away (at the front desk they even have a sachet you can fill with lavender to help you sleep!). Our room was on the second floor with a pool view. The bathroom was recently redone so that was nice although the door was old and cracked. Loved having two sinks-one in the bathroom and one outside of it. The bed was so comfortable and when I did wake up in the middle of the night I used the lavender to help me go back to sleep. We had dinner on the patio with a view of the lake. There was only one other couple out there and we had such a leisurely, delicious dinner. When we asked for a specific drink our waitress called the bartender who was working a party to find out the recipe, made them for us herself and we loved them! Everyone was very professional and friendly! We can’t wait to come back (Ohio Lodges has a card where if you stay ten nights you get one free!)

We were here overnight for a ****** Mystery. The hotel is so beautiful and overlooks Punderson Lake. We were in Room 212 which had a view of the lake. The room was very nicely updated with bath and the beds were firm and comfortable. This room was very peaceful. Megan was very accommodating in giving us a delightful room. The ****** Mystery was also a lot of fun. It started out on a Saturday with cocktails, dinner, and dessert. It ended the next day with breakfast and finding out the murderers. Lovely evening. 5 Star to the Mystery event as well.
