Worst hotel stay ever! Requested top floor room, front desk staff said they couldn’t accommodate even though no one had checked in yet. Pool area was grubby, loose change was on floor of hotel room (not vacuumed). Returned to hotel in evening kids were allowed to run up and down hallway all night I finally called front desk at 1145, then kids went into rooms & proceeded to jump off beds right above us. Front desk said they couldn’t do anything about what people do in their own room!!!

We booked our reservation online. At check in the staff said everything was all set and provided us a lesser room rate. The hotel was very busy and check in went smoothly. The rooms were standard size and clean. There was a very nice restaurant within walking distance. Check out also went smoothly. A few days later we were charged the higher rate and after a phone call determined the online check in was a 3rd party group. And the lesser rate was a hold deposit. So we were charged for the online rate and the hold deposit. So be aware of this situation happening to you, too.

When we go to Wisconsin, we always like staying at the hotel. The workers were very helpful. My big complaint is not having a hot breakfast. We always look forward to having a biscuit and gravy, eggs and bacon, and waffles. We pay a good price for the rooms. I am sure you can bring the breakfast back. Please let me if you decide to bring the breakfast back. We have other families that join us. If you don’t want to change the breakfast, we will all stay at the Cobblestone Hotel. I will start with tje good. The front desk staff at checkin/out were great. Room was okay. Bed was uncomfortable. When I went to make coffee in morning I found a moldy keurig pod still in the coffeemaker. Not a good way to begin your day after a night in an u comfortable bed. Hope you monitor your cleaning staff closer.

Front Desk Day shift awesome. Food on Breakfast Bar nothing special and very minimal. Repairs needed in rooms, starting to be run down. We were there during State finals for Hockey, the hotel was overrun with rude parents and rude children. Children running up and down hall ways screaming. We were hit with balls and a hockey stick as they were playing in the hallway! Hotel staff (early evening and night time) did nothing about this. Parents were drunk and belligerent so I know it was hard for the staff. It was not great experience.

Country Inn in River Falls is a great place to stay. Everything is very clean and nice. The in-room coffee and creamers are great. The breakfast is very good. The staff are exceptional, they are very kind and helpful.

I am writing this at the actual request of Scott Eickschens the Owner/ Manager of this once decent hotel. He dared me to write him a bad review, so here I am. As a frequent visitor to River Falls, I have payed for pool passes over the years to use the pool and hot tub with my young nephew. I always paid for 10 passes at a time. The last few years using these passes became a hassle as several times the hot tub was either not working properly or not at all. The pool as well always looked “not that clean” the pool needs to be resurfaced badly! While recently in town again the hot tub was broken with it being blocked off and surrounded by orange cones and tape. I asked to see the manager who was busy trying to fix it. I simply explained that I wanted a refund for the remaining money I had left for the unused passes. He was defiant and simply refused to refund my money. It was 25.00. Maybe not that much for some, but a lot of money for most especially when every time I’ve been in River Falls for the last two years the hot tub was broken. He was rude and just said he can’t refund my money. No reason was given and he said if I didn’t like it to go ahead and write him a bad review. It’s that kind of attitude that you will be dealing with if you do go to this hotel and have a problem. Ask yourself this before you book to stay there. If the public facilities are in that bad of shape, and in a constant state of decay. How will your room be? The Best Western or any kind of Air B@B would probably be a much better choice.
