Once again The Manor House staff gave a great friendly welcome. Afternoon Tea this time. Perfect in every way. Had been carefully selected, Very Tasty and beautifully presented. Thankyou again. Always a pleasure. Compliments always to the team.

Yesterday’s visit to The Manor House was our first visit and we will definitely return. The whole experience was a delight from walking up the drive and seeing the impressive building for the first time and to the fountain in the grounds. A very good first impression. On entering The Clock Tower Lounge I immediately noticed the beautiful decor and the calm feeling of the building. We were warmly greeted by a male member of staff and soon seated at our table. I wish I’d got his name as he was an absolute credit to your team. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he was so polite and friendly, just the good customer service I love to receive. Another male member of your team also waited on us and he too was so nice and both were professional. I didn’t visit the bathroom whilst I was there but my husband did and he was impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the gents bathroom. I’ve had afternoon tea many times before in different establishments but yours was by far the most superior for quality and taste. If I had to make one suggestion for improvement is perhaps to include one more savoury item and one less sweet item. This is just my own personal taste and preference as I prefer savoury over sweet and I find on every afternoon tea I’ve had that I’d prefer less sweet items. It is my 60th birthday in December 2025 and I’m already planning to book at least one celebration meal at The Manor House. Thank you for a lovely experience.

This is a dining experience unlike no other, from the decoration to the service itself. Manor House is the real deal, ideal for the that special occasion. It’s the venue you will talk about for years to come . Food was presented on the plate like a work of art , fabulous tastes stimulating the palate.

Another lovely Afternoon tea at the Manor House. We were in the Clock Tower which is very stylish and comfortable. We had a good selection of lovely food and a choice of teas. What makes the Manor House so good are the excellent staff who are always extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Superb experience with excellent food in a lovely atmosphere We visited the Lantern Room restaurant with 2 friends from France. The welcome, the sensitive treatment of our various allergies and the service overall was excellent. All the courses were of the highest quality and our friends from France said the food surpassed all 3 of the Michelin starred restaurants they had visited recently. It is not cheap but given the quality of food and service it remained good value as a special occasion meal out.

Came here for drinks after having Sunday lunch up the road. The venue is beautiful, the service second to none and a very nice spot to relax and wind down into the evening. We got told there was actually a few bars by another customer as we chattedin the venue but we only visited one so it's something I'll look forward to planning to visit in the future.

The property is lovely, rooms were clean and beautiful, food was delicious, and staff were friendly and helpful. We had a minor hiccup with one of our rooms which was quickly resolved. We regret that we were only able to stay for one night. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

The tasting menu is really superb, carefully thought out with delicious and imaginative food, beautifully served. The Lantern Room has a great ambience, and the serving staff were attentive without being intrusive. The courses were very well paced, with just the right portion sizes too, and I recommend the wine flight, which had us drinking perfectly paired wines that we would never have had the knowledge to choose ourselves. And all in Huddersfield too - we are lucky to have The Manor House here serving food of this quality - drinks beforehand in the gorgeous Art Deco bar to complete the experience. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful hotel! from arriving to leaving everything was wonderful. The staff are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area and the hotel. The rooms are well laid out and have everything you can think of, from the coffee maker, kettle, steam cleaner hairdryer, all you would need for a cosy comfortable stay. The bed was lovely and comfortable, and the duvet and pillows are feather, but I am sure if asked they would provide ones with another filling. The bathroom was a sight to behold and again everything you would need for your stay. The decor is amazing right through the hotel. We did wait quite a while for our toasted teacakes from the kitchen coffee shop, but that didn't really spoil anything. Its a beautiful period property made perfect! can't wait to return.
