12/10. Not only is this one of the most stunning places I've ever stayed, the staff are incredible and so kind. We have never felt so welcomed and looked after. Special mention to Chris our host and Captain Larry. Chris was so lovely and helpful, we really feel he took care of us and was SO attentive and I witnessed him treat all the guests with the same courtesy! Captain Larry was an absolute legend, he was also so informative and gave us tips on where to kayak to to see manatees. He is so funny and really looks out for the guests, making sure they book great tours and know what they will experience. All the staff here are so great, but those 2 were standout. I would return and stay here again any time! We stayed in the Muna air bnb and the Colonial. All of the rooms and different sections of the hotel are all stunning, would highly HIGHLY recommend staying here.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff are amazing and very friendly… Nothing seems to much for them and they are willing to accommodate any requests The beach area is kept clean and tidy with the adjoining properties that are part of the same group offer the same levels of service. Full of different characters and you can’t visit without speaking to Captain Larry, he is knowledgeable about the surroundings and able to offer great advice on places to visit….

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were right on the beach. Everything is easily accessible…pools, outdoor bathrooms, restaurants etc. The place is beautiful! We also are grateful to Captain Larry who came to help us when we had a minor issue. Jumping off the two story dock is a must!

We spent a week at Jaguar Reef for our spring break. We stayed in the Colonial Inn and couldn’t have been more pleased with the room. We were pleasantly surprised with a kitchen, comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom. The staff made two beds for our daughters too. Being so close to the beach and pools made for a very relaxing and easy going vacation. The staff was so nice, helpful, and truly became friends by the end of the week. We enjoyed access to the bikes and renting golf carts to explore the laid back community of Hopkins. We enjoyed multiple restaurants serving meals with fresh and local ingredients and appreciated a few comforts of home that were available too (burgers and pizza!). And the local grocery stores and fruit stands helped us keep our room well stocked. Our day trip, organized by the Adventure Center at Jaguar Reef, took us to Rhythm Reef Caye. The crew made us feel like royals as we enjoyed guided snorkeling, a gourmet grilled fish and fresh vegetable lunch, and relaxing in the hammocks in the shade. Captain Larry was a treat with his knowledge of the area and tips on how best to enjoy it. Thank you, Captain Larry! Thank you to everyone at Jaguar Reef, Almond Beach Resort, and The Colonial Inn for helping us make memories we will always cherish.

The location is outstanding! The cove is so calm and perfect for swimming. The water is warm and very clear, and the sand is soft with no rocks or coral to hurt your feet. A lot of beach resorts look great in pictures, but aren't actually nice to swim in. This one is one of the best we have visited. Being centrally located, you have access to many different excursions. You can take snorkel trips right from the hotel's dock, and the reef is exceptional. There are also a variety of trips you can take to see nature, zipline, etc. The concierge Greg was extremely helpful in setting everything up for our family. This was a great option for an extended family trip. Our family enjoyed kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming in the pools, and hanging out at the bars, especially the one on the pier. It was easy to meet up for different activities or meals. The facilities are very nice, with spacious, comfortable, and clean rooms, good food and drinks, and a friendly staff. There are also a few restaurants within walking distance from the hotel if you decide you want a change from the resort's dining options. Our trip did hit a few snags. One room didn't have hot water for a couple of days, but then a maintenance worker showed us that the shower handle needed to point in a different direction for the hot water. We still weren't able to get hot water in the sink though. I recommend being persistent in having this issue addressed if this happens to you. It rained heavily one day and so we had to cancel an excursion. We went the week after Christmas, and there were a couple of very large family groups that monopolized some of the facilities, and then complained loudly when they felt they weren't getting everything exactly as they had planned. Just a heads up, the tourism season starts in December, so many of the workers at that time were brand new. They were still very friendly and tried their best. Have patience with everyone, and understand that travel always brings unexpected surprises. Overall we had a great trip to Jaguar Reef and would recommend!

The Colonial Rooms are very nice and spacious. If you are planning a wedding at this resort we had found that the Colonial Rooms and the rooms adjacent with the private pools are a great location for the bridal party. Close to the location on the beach where the wedding and reception were located. The hotel was responsive to all of our requests as we had family all over the resort. Genesis who I first met at the Wood Fire Pizza restaurant had them hopped over to serve breakfast and she was always nice! Greeted us with big smile every time and said hello. The Gift Shop/Rental Shop for excursions had great staff and Will was eager to help and get us on our way. You can rent out golf cars to take to town and also book excursions right from the hotel.
