We spent one night here, 9 Feb 2022, because it was close to Waipio Valley and we wanted an early start in the morning to hike the Muliwai Trail to Waimanu Valley. It worked fine for us as a last-minute booking. This hotel is on the main street through town, very old, but still charming, and has a lot of character. Our room was at the back, on the first floor down the hall from the office, which was fine, with enough outlets for our electronics, two (double? full?) beds, a private bathroom with shower, and it was clean enough (just old). We left too early for breakfast. There might have been another guest staying there, but we did not see them. The owner was chatty and helpful when we checked in. There was a decent restaurant next door, the Honokaa Public House, with a jolly crowd, live music, pizza, beers. Cute town, would have liked to spend some more time there.
