It’s a family-oriented beach with a touch of everything one might be looking for! It’s an AMAZING place to visit, live, and never leave!The suite is in the heart of Carolina Beach and walking distance to downtown and everything that is has to offer. In Carolina Beach you’ve got the boardwalk, restaurants, and local shops of all kinds. If you like adventures, the marina is also there where you can take an offshore fishing trip, diving excursion, or party boat out for a sunset sail. Camping more your thing? Bring the 4X4 and drive (and camp) on the beach at Freeman Park, located on the North End of the island. You can also head down to Kure Beach and fish directly off their fishing pier complete with bait, tackles, and more! We welcome you to sit back, relax and enjoy yourselves because that's exactly what the beach is for!This suite is a mixture of the original “period” construction and old-world charm, a kiss of shabby-chic modernity, and today’s technology because hey, there’s got to be something for everyone! Each suite has its own distinct traits, quirks, and characteristics. Above all else, it should feel like your “home away from home” while vacationing with us on our Island!The entry to this 1 bedroom, 1 bath suite opens into a newly furnished family room combined with an open dining area and fully equipped kitchen (stove oven, refrigerator). The kitchen is stocked will all the basic cooking and dining utensils one can expect (plates, bowls, cups, silverware, etc.). In addition, there is a microwave, toaster, coffer maker and blender ready to help make yourself at home (while on Vacay!). 1 courtesy soap, shampoo and conditioner are left in the bathroom of each home as well as 2 rolls of TP per bath, 1 makeup wipe and one backup toothbrush. 1 roll of paper towel, a sponge, dish soap, 2 trash bags per receptacle and (*as applicable) 3 dishwasher and laundry pods will be available to use if needed!The unit's ONE QUEEN bed and ONE TWIN bed consists of either a plush luxury mattress or a new encased 8” memory foam/cooling gel composition mattress because we want all of our guests to be comfortable when it comes time to recharge. 1 set of the following will be made on a per bed/per person basis to help you be comfortable on your adventure! Bed sheets (fitted/flat set), bath towels, wash cloths, cleaning rags, pillowcases, bathmats and kitchen towels. Laundering or extra sets are not an available service regrettably. Please make sure all used linens are placed in one location in the home at departure. Please let all BED LINENS remain on the beds for our TEAM to take care of! A sincere thanks for your help and we hope that YOU have an AMAZING ADVENTURE!There is one smart TV in each suite to utilize one's personal subscriptions (such as Netflix or Hulu) along with a WIFI computer connection for when it's time to sit back and enjoy some movies or shows after a long day at the beach! The outdoor shower is located on the lower left of the building to help get that sand off of those toes!Guest accessThe SUITE: Guests have full access to their own private SUITE (never shared) along with a portion of a respective deck, patio, or balcony. PARKING: Each reservation will have access to (1) ONE 8'x14' assigned parking space. Suites 1-3 park up front next to the road while 4-6 park in the rear of the building. DO NOT double park if looking to avoid a tow. Guests driving "oversized vehicles" (from SUVs to pickups) may have issues fitting comfortably. •Closest BEACH access: Scallop Public Beach Access (Scallop Lane).Interaction with guestsI will be available for check-in and general assistance until 8PM EST. Pleasure Island is located within Federal Point Township, in New Hanover County. The coastal resort towns of Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, as well as the annexed communities of Wilmington Beach and Hanby Beach are located on the island. The building itself is one row away from the ocean, and two rows in from the Intracoastal Waterway. The property is set four blocks from downtown Carolina Beach with its shops, activities, and dining. Carolina Beach is a mix of friendly locals, snowbirds, and vacationers all looking to escape the inland and enjoy the sand, surf, and sun. We truly have an amazing community! Carolina Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods offer an array of sights and activities to enjoy while here. Some of these examples are (but not limited to) a subtle beach hike through Carolina Beach State Park, Fishing on the Kure Beach Pier, kayaking to one of the many islands surrounding the Intracoastal Waterway, watching canons blast during a historical reenactment at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, or petting some Sting Rays at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Our own local Brewery (Good Hops) along with a round of Frisbee golf may be what the doctor ordered!Getting aroundThere isn’t anywhere or anything on our Island that isn’t accessible with foot power. Downtown Carolina Beach has several vendors such as Tony Silvagni’s Surf School @ 308 S Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, NC 28428 (bicycles, paddleboards, surfboards, kayaks, chairs, and umbrellas) for rent as an alternative to walking or driving. Taxi’s (local golf cart taxi’s) and Uber’s are also generally available for an assist when needed as well throughout the island! You can catch a Ferry to Southport in Kure Beach @ 2422 Fort Fisher Blvd S Kure Beach which leads to another ferry to Bald Head Island where NO CARS are allowed at all! After all, you won’t catch many locals going OTB! (Over The Bridge). However, be conscious that few homes have external outlets WITHOUT GFCI’S (which are code by today’s standards). Charging a cart on a GFCI will immediately trip the breaker, resulting in the inability to charge a cart amongst other repercussions. Gas carts will generally be the ideal rental option if in a home whose parking supports such. •ALL suites are non-smoking (including vaping) and a heavy cleaning/repair charge can result if not adhered to. This includes porches, decks, balconies, and walkways. Please smoke well away from any SWRE property unless willing to risk the potential loss of deposit or more.•NO BBQing on ANY decks or porches. This is a huge fire hazard and is fineable by the town (as is removing batteries from any smoke or co2 alarms). We have two separate rental rooms available. Each have their own private entrance from the outside of the residence as well as their own private full baths. Both rooms have a mini-frig, microwave, and coffeepot. Internet access is provided. We are located within walking distance of the famous Carolina Beach Boardwalk where there are many restaurants, Bars, Charter Boats, and many other attractions. There is always lots of live entertainment and we will be happy to make suggestions based on your food and music taste.We also own a charter fishing business called Southern Sportfishing. We have 1/2 day, 3/4 day, and Full day offshore trips available.Other nearby attractions include Kure Beach, Fort Fisher Aquarium, Civil War Museum, and the Fort Fisher Ferry which travels to Southport and Bald Head Island numerous times daily.If you are interested in Kayaking, Bike rentals, Surf lessons, Paddle Boarding, or Golf Cart rentals we can help you with your arrangements.
