This is our favorite place to stay on the Western Kenai. Another great long weekend down from Anchorage in late winter. Got to see some great live music in Homer, and of course, enjoyed the view from our cabin. The Wi-Fi is great and I was able to get work done in the morning online and then we spent the afternoons, exploring homer, riding our fat bikes, walking on the beach, etc. The cabins here are very private and make you feel like you have the entire property to yourself

Exceptional location, very easy and communicative management. Checked in was smooth- the place is clean and tidy and unique. Can’t say enough about how much we loved the space! This is my second stay at Alaska Adventure Cabins and the last time was too long ago. I’ll be back - and sooner

We had a great time at the Dovetail cabin! It was warm, clean, and had a lovely full kitchen that we enjoyed making our dinner in! It had just the right amount of room for our group of 5 and a baby. 😊 The view of the bay from the living room is absolutely stunning! This is a wonderful choice for a weekend!

I spent a night at Alaska Adventure Cabins (AAC) on the weekend of January 10-11, 2025. I needed a break from my very stressful job and chose to spend that time at AAC. The time there was just what I needed. The view from the Dovetail Cabin room was quite frankly breath-taking. It was a view of the bay and the surrounding mountains. The cabin itself was beautifully appointed with carefully chosen pieces that represented the spirit of Alaska. I was very appreciative of this. I met Evelyn, who owns the AAC, and she was so kind and considerate of me and what I needed for my stay. I have only the best to say about her and my stay with AAC. Do not hesitate to book a space here and spend some time - I promise you will not regret it. I myself intent to return in the very near future.

It was a total fluke that we ended up booking the "Dovetail Log Cabin." When we were pulling up hotels in the area, it popped up as a special price and so beautiful, we had to book. Location is right off Sterling Hwy, about 2 min drive to Homer. And although we were off the Main Road, we slept very well! I didn't notice the sound of cars at all. The view was beyond Amazing!! That was so much more than anything I could have dreamed of. The queen bed, in upper loft, is situated so you wake to the beautiful sun rising over the Homer Spit and along the mountain range. In the evening we sat in the living area and enjoyed the beautiful sunsets beyond the ocean and volcano! The only caution I have to give is that the bedroom, with twin beds, does not have a door entry through the main cabin. You have to go outside to enter. This did not effect our stay, as an adult stayed in that room. If I was planning to use it for young children, it would not be acceptable to me. There is also a spiral staircase, in the main cabin. Which was fine, we just had to keep a close watch on our 19mo. old. We do that anyway. The cabin was clean and had what we needed. Another plus is it's open year around!! Would definitely be looking to stay again on future visits!!

The Caboose (lower level) was just the Perfect size. We loved the gas wood stove being by the bed. The bed was so comfortable and we liked that the bed was in a little outcove. The cabin was very cozy and I loved the heater in the bathroom. We were We certainly will be back. Thanks Evelyn
